Prior to founding Ripple Healthcare Consulting, Dr. Hogan served as director of medical affairs at Taysha Gene Therapies, a clinical-stage biotechnology company based in Dallas, from 2024 to 2025. He was previously associate director of medical affairs at Reata Pharmaceuticals Inc. (now Biogen) from 2022 to 2024, where he established a high-performing team of medical science liaisons, medical affairs directors, and neuroscience sales specialists. He played a key role in the launch of two new indications for Nurtec ODT for migraine treatment. Before that, Dr. Hogan was associate director at Biohaven Ltd. from 2019 to 2022 (now Pfizer), where he contributed to an award-winning neurology team.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Hogan held roles as a medical science liaison at Collegium Pharmaceutical and senior medical science liaison at Flexion Therapeutics in 2018. He also served as regional medical affairs manager and medical science liaison at Braeburn Inc. from 2017 to 2018, and as a medical science liaison at Photocure from 2015 to 2017. His foundational research experience included fellowships in the emergency department at Cedars-Sinai and Heart Institute between 2012 and 2015, and earlier research roles at the University of Kentucky (2008–2009) and Duke University Medical Center (2005–2006).

Dr. Hogan earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology, with a focus on cognitive psychology and a minor in chemistry, from Duke University in 2005. He went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in 2012.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dr. Hogan is active in civic engagement and mentorship. He has served on the Duke Young Alumni Development Council since 2015, as a representative for Duke Black Alumni since 2016, and has participated in the Ripple-LA Pilot Test cohort since 2017.

Dr. Hogan has authored multiple peer-reviewed scientific journal articles and has been a featured speaker at medical conferences worldwide. His dedication to mentorship and community-building underscores his broader commitment to healthcare equity and innovation.

His contributions have been recognized with several accolades, including the Team Player Award and Innovative Thinker Award from Biohaven Ltd. (2019–2022), and the Leadership Masterclass Award from Reata Pharmaceuticals in 2023, which highlighted his exceptional leadership skills.
