As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

With a remarkably accomplished career of nearly 40 years, Ms. Hukel has made significant contributions in the fields of human resources, organizational development and women's empowerment. The author of "Courageously Authentic" — a transformational guide that empowers women to break free from old patterns, reclaim their worth, and step boldly into the lives they were meant to lead, she draws from her own journey and decades of experience serving as a passionate advocate for women to step into their power and live unapologetically as their authentic selves. Through her company, Awakening the Consciousness Within LLC, she provides impactful resources, shares her writing and insights, and creates opportunities for women to reconnect with their truth and lead from within. A recognized voice in the industry, she is increasingly sought out for speaking engagements and is developing programs and community-based initiatives that promote meaningful connection and growth among women worldwide.

Prior to her current endeavors, Ms. Hukel worked in executive human resources at Health New England from 2014 to 2020 where she was promoted from Director of Organizational Development to Director of OD/HR within a year, and later served as Acting Vice President of Human Resources while continuing to lead both functions before leaving to open her company. She earned a high-performance coaching certification during her tenure, further enhancing her ability to support individuals in their personal and professional growth.

In 2007 she joined Valassis' Talent Development, during this time Ms. Hukel contributed to a high-impact media readiness project at Valassis Marketing Solutions. In recognition of her organizational development work, she received both the Platinum Award and the Century Award from the company's President and CEO. From 2012 to 2014, she was asked to join the manufacturing division, where she supported a nationwide initiative focused on change leadership, culture alignment, and talent strategy. Partnering with HR and branch leaders across 20 U.S. locations, she played a key role in advancing employee engagement and organizational effectiveness, earning a second Century Award for her lasting contributions.

From 2000 to 2005, Ms. Hukel served as Assistant Vice President and Underwriter Development Manager at Chubb Specialty Insurance, where she oversaw the functional and technical training needs of underwriters across 130 offices in nearly 30 countries. She designed and delivered customized development programs—ranging from three days to three weeks—to support underwriters in achieving best-in-class performance. Her leadership and impact in this global role led to a promotion within six months due to her exceptional performance.

Earlier in her journey, Ms. Hukel served at Asea Brown Boveri (ABB) as a human resources manager and information system manager from 1994 to 2000, following an initial role as an HR manager from 1987 to 1994. It was here that she implemented a variety innovative workplace solutions, including a color-coded system for employees who lacked high school diplomas but excelled in manufacturing roles. Though her career encompasses remarkably different fields of work, her desire and ability to help others excel has shone through in every role.

Ms. Hukel's academic background includes a Master of Business Administration from Western New England University in 2001 and a Bachelor of Arts in human resources management and services from Webster University in 1992. Her education has been vital in shaping her strategic approach to organizational development, as well as her commitment to leading with integrity, compassion, and a genuine respect for each individual—recognizing their worth beyond any title and honoring the humanity they bring to their work.

To complement her professional achievements as a writer and motivational speaker, Ms. Hukel is a member of the WorldWide Women's Association, Women's Thrive 2026 Summit, Non-Fiction Writers Association, Connecticut Authors and Publishers Association (CAPA), and Author's Guild. In addition to "Courageously Authentic," she is also a strong advocate for "Women's Healing & Empowerment " and a contributing writer for "Medium" reflecting her ongoing dedication to empowering women through written works.

Outside of her career, Ms. Hukel enjoys organic gardening, canning and making herbal medicines, passions that align with her holistic approach to health and well-being. Looking ahead, she plans to write another book that expands on the themes of "Courageously Authentic" for younger audiences. Also aiming to establish a community platform for women worldwide, she envisions creating an online university with courses tailored for women and complemented by retreats and live engagement opportunities on social media platforms like YouTube. Her past achievements and future goals alike reflect a legacy of innovation, compassion and impacting the lives of others.
