Prior to her current role, Ms. Mays was an RN case manager at Mountain Vista Medical Center from 2021 to 2023. In this capacity, she honed her skills in patient management and care coordination, which further solidified her reputation as a compassionate and efficient nurse. Her tenure at Centurion Health as a utilization management RN from 2019 to 2020 allowed her to develop a keen understanding of resource allocation and patient advocacy.

From 2008 to 2017, Ms. Mays served as an RN case manager at Banner Health. During this period, she navigated complex patient cases and collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes for her patients. Her earlier experience as a charge nurse and utilization management specialist at Fairview Health Services from 2004 to 2007 provided her with valuable insights into team leadership and operational efficiency.

Ms. Mays began her career at Apple Valley Village Health Care Center, where she worked as a registered nurse supervisor from 2002 to 2004. This foundational role equipped her with essential supervisory skills and laid the groundwork for her future leadership positions. Throughout her career, she has been recognized for her dedication and excellence, receiving accolades such as Employee of the Month and the Rock Star Award.

Ms. Mays' academic achievements have played a significant role in her professional success. In 2023, she earned a master's degree in nursing science with a focus on executive leadership from Chamberlain University, graduating with high honors, which she cites as one of her most notable achievements. She also holds a bachelor's degree in nursing from St. Catherine University, obtained in 1987.

Among Ms. Mays' many accomplishments, she is especially proud of her work as a postpartum nurse.
