Mr. Garlie is a distinguished professional in chemistry and new business development, currently serving as the chief technology officer and managing partner at Cross Plains Solutions LLC. These innovations significantly improved the environmental, health and safety aspects of these everyday consumer goods. He also enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with his family.
Mr. Garlie continues to create intellectual property focused on replacing traditional petroleum-derived products with rapidly renewable, sustainable, and readily available agricultural products by engineering mother nature's building blocks into functional solutions for a more circular bioeconomy. This will enhance safety, improve the environmental footprint for consumers of goods, and enhance the communities in which we live our daily lives.
Mr. Garlie is a multi-time nominee and recipient of the Achievers Circle Award from Cargill Inc. for his outstanding contributions. In 2024, his soybean-based firefighting foam was awarded GreenScreen Certified GoldTM, the highest rating for an environmentally safe firefighting foam. He attributes much of his success to his determination to overcome challenges and achieve excellence and the guidance of his mentor, Kevin R. Anderson.
Looking ahead, Mr. Garlie aims to use agricultural-based alternatives to formulate and certify safer and more environmentally friendly firefighting foams for non-civilian markets like the U.S. Department of Defense, the Federal Aviation Administration, the U.S. Forest Service, and the oil and gas markets.
