Mr. Pipersburgh has dedicated over three decades to the New York City Police Department (NYPD), where he currently serves as a detective first grade. Since 2002, he has been instrumental in maintaining the morale and integrity of the force through his role as a liaison to families of officers who have died in the line of duty. Mr. Pipersburgh's commitment extends beyond mere communication as he actively assists these families by helping their children qualify for college scholarships, ensuring the legacy of service continues.

Before his current position, Mr. Pipersburgh served as a detective second grade from 2010 to 2015. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2010, he held the rank of detective specialist. During this 22-year portion of his career, he honed his investigative skills to the benefit of fellow officers. In 2009, he also made significant contributions to the history of criminal investigations by pioneering methods which aid in the location and recovery of stolen electronic devices.

Mr. Pipersburgh's journey with the NYPD began in 1995 after transitioning from the New York City Transit Police. As a police officer with the department, he gained invaluable experience on the streets of New York City. Mr. Pipersburgh's initial foray into law enforcement started in 1988 as an auxiliary police officer, where he volunteered his time and efforts to support the department.

In addition to his primary roles, Mr. Pipersburgh has held several key positions within the department, including unit technology officer, unit historian, representative to the Police Foundation Scholarship Board, and coordinator of the Integrity Review Board.

Mr. Pipersburgh's educational background includes a Master of Business Administration with a focus in public administration from Hodges University in 2024, equipping him with a unique perspective on organizational management and strategic planning, which he applies in his current endeavors.

Outside of his professional life, Mr. Pipersburgh is deeply influenced by his family and community ties. The church has been a significant source of support throughout his career, alongside the unwavering encouragement from his wife and inspiration from his father. Looking ahead, Mr. Pipersburgh aspires to join the NYPD's leadership team in a civilian capacity. One of his plans is to expand the Integrity Review Board's scope to recognize all acts of integrity within the department.
