Ms. Fiance has established a distinguished career in strategic communications, currently serving as the vice president of strategic communications for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. In this role since 2023, she has expertly handled media relations and organic social media, focusing on research, care and advocacy for the neuromuscular community. Her expertise in media relations, storytelling and social media impact has been instrumental in advancing the organization's mission. In light of her many contributions, she was named one of The PR Net Marcomms Most Influential in 2023.

Prior to her current position, Ms. Fiance served as the national vice president of public relations for the same organization from 2021 to 2023. During this time, she played a pivotal role in enhancing the organization's national presence. Her efforts in raising awareness and support for fundraising amplified the breakthrough of the first gene therapy for Duchenne muscular dystrophy in 2023, communicating to the people the organization serves and the general public on a national level. From 2018 to 2021, she was the director of public relations and communications at the Muscular Dystrophy Association, where she placed national media coverage.

Ms. Fiance's career also includes notable tenure as the director of publicity at the 92nd Street Y from 2017 to 2018, where she worked on impactful stories garnering national news coverage. Before that, she held various roles at Jazz at Lincoln Center from 1996 to 2017, including director of cultural affairs and archives and director of public relations. Her work there led to touring the world with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, significant fundraising with a $1 million donation from The Ammon Foundation to create the first ever archives for the distribution of recorded music of the organization, national media coverage including the first ever two part feature on Jazz music by CBS News 60 Minutes, all deeply influenced by her love for the arts and its connection to American culture, inspired by Wynton Marsalis's vision for the organization.

Foundational to her later achievements, Ms. Fiance's early career includes contributions as an account executive at Middleberg & Rosso Communications and an assistant to the director and program manager for the jazz department at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. Throughout her career, she has furthered her expertise as a member of the Public Relations Society of America.

Ms. Fiance's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in communication and media studies from Boston University, which she completed in 1990. Beyond her education, she attributes much of her success to her public relations skills to build impactful storytelling that leads to public engagement.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Ms. Fiance is actively involved in civic-minded organizations. She served as an advisory council member to several nonprofit community organizations in New York City.

Looking toward the future, Ms. Fiance aims to continue amplifying impactful stories to raise funds for the mission of Muscular Dystrophy Association to find more treatments and potential cures for various diseases, including amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
