His role involves advising clients on managing their technology, assisting with initial patent filings, and developing intellectual property strategies as products are brought to market. Additionally, Mr. Babcock supports the technical aspects of innovation plans and engages in expert witness and litigation consulting, reviewing cases provided by the attorney and preparing various aspects of reports.

Before founding PCCT Consulting, Mr. Babcock was an intellectual property manager at SunEdison/GCL Solar Materials between 2015 and 2018. Before his tenure at SunEdison/GCL Solar Materials, he held dual roles as a principal scientist and intellectual property director at Surnetics from 2013 to 2015. During this period, Mr. Babcock developed significant intellectual property and technology for coating diagnostics and managing liquid control in diagnostics, building a comprehensive portfolio that opened numerous opportunities for him.

From 2013 to 2015, Mr. Babcock also worked as a patent agent at Pauly, DeVries, Smith & Deffner LLC, where he honed his skills in patent law and further expanded his expertise in intellectual property management services for small and large companies. His career at Donaldson began in 2004 as a senior chemical engineer before transitioning to intellectual property manager from 2008 to 2013. Earlier in his career, Mr. Babcock gained valuable experience as a chemical engineer at Kimberly-Clark, starting in 2001.

Mr. Babcock's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in chemical engineering from Vanderbilt University. He also holds credentials as a certified licensing professional from Certified Licensing Professional Inc. and a U.S. patent agent from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Babcock is actively involved with civic-minded organizations, such as Scouting America, where he volunteers. Headquartered in Texas, the nonprofit is recognized as the largest scouting organization and one of the largest youth organizations in the nation.
