RIDGEFIELD, WA, June 19, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Victor Rielly, PhD, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Dr. Rielly has established himself as a distinguished researcher at Portland State University, where he has been contributing since 2020. His role involves performing calculations and programming, processing data, collaborating with fellow researchers and assisting other researchers. His expertise in combining mathematics with computer science is widely recognized and he is a valued member of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics.

Prior to his current position, Dr. Rielly served as a research and development specialist at Intel Corporation in 2022. His tenure at Intel was marked by his innovative approach to problem-solving and his ability to integrate complex mathematical concepts into practical applications. Before joining Intel, he worked as a software engineer at Power Development Solutions and Safety Thru Design in Hillsboro, Oregon from 2016 to 2022. During this period, he honed his skills in software engineering and database design, which laid the foundation for his future research endeavors.

Dr. Rielly's career began with an internship at the NASA Glenn Research Center in 2014 followed by an internship at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, in 2015. These experiences provided him with invaluable insights into the field of aerospace engineering and research methodologies. Earlier in his career, he worked as a research assistant at Pacific University in Forest Grove in 2013 and as a carpenter at SMI from 2011 to 2012.

Dr. Rielly's academic journey is equally impressive. He earned his Doctor of Philosophy in applied mathematics from Portland State University in 2025, following a master's degree in the same field from the same institution in 2022. He graduated as salutatorian with a bachelor's degree in mathematics and physics from Pacific University in 2016. His academic achievements have been supported by a full scholarship from Portland State University and recognition as the top natural science student and top mathematics student at Pacific University.

Dr. Rielly attributes much of his success to the support of his church community, where he actively participates as a pianist and choir member. He volunteers for various church activities including teens camp, choir trips, preaching, mission trips to Mexico and teaching/mentoring middle school students at a Christian academy. His dedication to service extends beyond his church involvement; he has also contributed to developing an artificial intelligence translation application for sounds and communication.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Dr. Rielly has made significant contributions to several projects and publications. He is a contributor to projects such as "BHK Kernelized Classifier" and "Minimal Separating Sets." As an author and co-author, he has published works including "Learning Nonparametric Differential Equations from Noisy Data" in the Journal of Computational Physics and "Learning High Dimensional Nonparametric Differential Equations via Multivariate Occupation Kernel Functions" on Arxiv preprint.

Looking ahead, Dr. Rielly aims to complete the research projects initiated during his dissertation work. He is passionate about advancing artificial intelligence technology while ensuring its safety and reliability. Additionally, he envisions creating a curriculum for math and science education for lower grades and teaching at neighboring Christian academies. Through these endeavors, he continues to make significant contributions to both academia and his community.
