FORT WORTH, TX, February 10, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A rare and thrilling slice of British motoring history has just rolled into the DFW Car & Toy Museum. This freshly restored 1974 TVR 2500M, now gleaming in brilliant yellow, is a true enthusiast's car—rebuilt from the ground up and proudly part of the Ron Sturgeon Collection.
A complete body-off refurbishment was undertaken on this fiberglass-bodied coupe, with meticulous attention given to its chassis, suspension, brakes, and powertrain. The 2.5-liter inline-six—originally sourced from Triumph—was rebuilt in 2016 and now breathes new life thanks to dual Zenith Stromberg carburetors, a stainless Borla exhaust, a Wizard aluminum radiator, programmable electronic ignition, and a ceramic-coated cast iron manifold.
The car's performance and handling are matched by refined details: a leather-wrapped Astrali steering wheel, classic Smiths instrumentation, and a custom cooling system engineered for modern reliability. The interior, suspension bushings, wheel bearings, and braking components have all been replaced, and the ride is now smoothed out with adjustable coil-over dampers.
With its signature pop-up glass sunroof, Perspex wraparound rear window, and a Monza-style fuel filler, this coupe radiates retro character. It's not just a restored car—it's a reimagined experience of 1970s performance driving.
"TVRs were known for their raw, driver-focused appeal, and this 2500M is no exception," says Ron Sturgeon, founder of the DFW Car & Toy Museum. "Its restoration reflects a true labor of love, and we're proud to share this example with our visitors."
The TVR 2500M is now on display alongside over 200 collector cars and more than 3,000 vintage toys and artifacts at the DFW Car & Toy Museum, located in Fort Worth, Texas. Open to the public daily, the museum is a destination for car lovers, collectors, and curious minds alike.
