NORTH CHARLESTON, SC, June 30, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Brittney Michelle Duncan has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Ms. Duncan has cultivated a distinguished career marked by her dedication to public service and advocacy, currently on a career break seeking positions as a senior policy analyst and project manager. Ms. Duncan began her career with the United States Army, where she served as a preventive dentistry specialist from 2007 to 2012 and was recognized with several accolades, including 3 Army Achievement Medals, the Army Commendation Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal between 2009 and 2012, as well as several Certificates of Achievement.

Following her military service, Ms. Duncan transitioned into civilian roles that allowed her to leverage her skills in health care and administration. She worked as an administrative care coordinator with the Armed Forces Services Corporation in 2015. That same year, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in liberal studies from Armstrong State University and joined the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs as an advanced medical support assistant later that year.

From 2016 to 2020, Ms. Duncan excelled as a financial revenue technician in the same department, where her compassion and customer service were acknowledged by patients who nominated her for an award. Once more, she balanced work while pursuing higher education, obtaining a Master of Public Health from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2018. In 2020, Ms. Duncan went on to join the Wisconsin Department of Health Services as a program and policy analyst. Her tenure there was marked by her advocacy for supplier diversity and funding programs aimed at improving health outcomes for marginalized communities, and, for her efforts, she was recognized as an advanced program and policy analyst from 2021 to 2022.

Throughout her career, Ms. Duncan has remained committed to her professional development. Along with her degrees, she has earned numerous certifications, including the Project Management Professional ATP Bootcamps: 5-Day Cohort Institute for Veterans and Military Families in 2025 and the Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt from Tri-County Career Academy the same year. Additionally, she holds certifications in foundations of project management from Coursera, obtained in 2023, and a scrum master certification, which she received in 2022.

In tandem with her professional pursuits, Ms. Duncan has civically contributed to organizations that relate to her career focus. From 2014 to 2015, she served as secretary for Armstrong State University Veterans of America and held leadership roles within the Ft. Stewart Dentac's Junior Enlisted Council and the Better Opportunities For Single Soldiers program between 2011 and 2012. In reflecting on her overall journey, Ms. Duncan attributes much of her success to her faith and the unwavering support of her family and friends, drawing inspiration from her father's encouragement and military sayings that have guided her through challenges.

Despite the hardships that could have broken her, Ms. Duncan survived and continues to live with gratitude and a positive attitude. From her experiences, she firmly believes that the trials an individual faces in life do not define them. Such events are neither the beginning nor the end of their story. Life is about what you make of it, and it is all about perspective.

As a single mother with one daughter, Ms. Duncan values spending time with family and aims to share her personal story to help others facing similar challenges. Looking ahead, she plans to publish a book, work closer with other mothers and advocate for mental health awareness within the Black community while continuing to support military families and health care initiatives.
