In this role, she oversees two offices and is responsible for managing audits and audit staff, with a particular focus on educational institutions. Her expertise extends to school districts, governmental entities, nonprofit organizations, single audits and forensic investigations. Ms. Scott's proficiency in these areas is further demonstrated through her consulting work with the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the U.S. Department of Education. Additionally, she also works as a contracted business manager for three Michigan school districts, where she lends her expertise in educational finance.

Before her tenure at her current firm, Ms. Scott served as a senior auditor at Yeo & Yeo PC from 2003 to 2008. During this time, she refined her skills in auditing and financial analysis, laying the foundation for her subsequent achievements. Ms. Scott's career began at Firstbank, where she worked as a customer service representative and teller from 1999 to 2002.

Ms. Scott's academic journey began at Saginaw Valley State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Professional Accountancy in 2003. This degree provided her with the foundational knowledge necessary for her career in accounting. Ms. Scott also obtained a certified public accountant license in 2005 and later achieved the certified fraud examiner credential in 2015. These designations have enabled her to effectively handle complex financial cases involving multiple entities.

Ms. Scott's commitment to professional development is evident through her active involvement in several industry-related organizations. She is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, the Government Audit Quality Center, and Michigan School Business Officials. Additionally, she serves as the vice chair for the West Branch Area Chamber of Commerce and sits on various referent groups for the Michigan Department of Education. Her past roles include serving as the board chair for Calvary Christian Academy.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Ms. Scott is dedicated to civic engagement. She currently serves as the treasurer for both the Gladwin Community Arena and the Gladwin Area Hockey Association and as a member of the finance committee for the Ten 16 Recovery Network. She also sits on the advisory committee for the Career and Technical Education's Vocational Business Program at Ogemaw Heights High School—her alma mater, where it all started—in an effort to ignite an interest in accounting in young students. Finally, Ms. Scott previously held the position of board president for the Life Choices Center. She is gratified by engaging in volunteer work, and her commitment to community service is matched by her passion for supporting her children's athletic and academic pursuits.

Ms. Scott attributes much of her success to her faith, which has guided her throughout her career, as well as her supportive husband. Her journey into accounting began in high school when an instructor recognized her talent and challenged her with additional coursework, sparking a lifelong passion for the field.
