BROKEN ARROW, OK, July 09, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Landon Waters has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Leveraging his diverse experiences to address leadership dysfunction in high-stakes environments, Mr. Waters has carved a distinctive path as a consultant and public speaker. As the founder and principal consultant of Landon Waters Consulting, he specializes in creating customized performance blueprints for business departments and executive teams. His expertise spans crisis management, team resilience, organizational development and command performance under pressure. Through his consultancy, he primarily collaborates with C-suite executives, drawing insights from military psychology and industrial-organizational psychology. His dedication to serving law enforcement, military personnel, veterans and nonprofit organizations underscores his steadfast commitment to these communities.
In 2024, Mr. Waters delivered a Technology, Entertainment and Design (TED) Talk on veteran integration through education, which ranked 18th among the top 50 TED Talks for the year and garnered over 1 million views within three months. This talk resonated deeply with many veterans, including his brother, marking a significant personal milestone. Concurrently, he published "From Red Dot to Red Circle: Master the Art of Speaking, Influence, and Leadership with Military Precision," a book that serves as a practical manual for public speaking and leadership development. The publication is part of his upcoming series titled "The Red Series," which explores various aspects of leadership and organizational development.
Mr. Waters' academic journey has been vital in shaping his understanding of human behavior and organizational dynamics. Most recently, he earned a master's degree in industrial-organizational psychology from the University of Tulsa in 2025. Prior to this, he completed a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and criminal justice at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 2022 and an Associate of Science in criminal justice and police science from Eastern Oklahoma State College in 2020.
Before founding his consultancy firm, Mr. Waters gained valuable experience in several diverse roles. While pursuing his graduate studies, he served as a department assistant at the University of Tulsa, conducting research and performing statistical analyses to aid internal decision-making processes. In 2024, he worked as a student intern in information technology at the United States Department of Homeland Security. His earlier roles include employment specialist and behavioral health case manager II at CREOKS Behavioral Health Services, where he served as a substance abuse therapy teacher at the Mack Afford Correctional Center and supported job placements aligned with client needs.
Mr. Waters' tenure with the United States Department of Defense saw him rise from police officer to lieutenant police officer between 2016 and 2022, during which he acquired a profound understanding of team development and best leadership practices. He began his professional career at 18 years of age with an eight-year service as an Apache aircraft mechanic in the United States Army. This early experience ignited his passion for problem-solving and helping others, leading him to pursue further education and credentials to effect change proactively rather than reactively. To augment his qualifications, he was certified as a behavioral health case manager II by the Oklahoma State Department of Health in 2022.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Waters is actively involved with civic initiatives such as the Student Veterans of America national chapter, his local Student Veterans of America chapter at the University of Tulsa, the Alpha Chi Honors Society, and the Coffee Bunker — a transition services program for military veterans. Widely recognized for his contributions in driving organizational transformation, he has been distinguished as a Leadership Fellow by both Student Veterans of America and the University of Tulsa.
Looking to the future, Mr. Waters aims to complete a doctorate in industrial-organizational psychology while expanding his keynote speaking engagements and consulting practice. He also plans to focus on producing podcasts with the overarching goal of becoming a prominent figure who gives back to the community by generating wealth and creating a positive societal impact through his work.
