MILFORD, DE, July 10, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Alfonso D. Kraft Sr. has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Showcasing remarkable resilience and determination, Mr. Kraft has dedicated his life to helping others as a motivational speaker, drawing from his own experiences of overcoming adversity. His career as a motivational life coach and ordained minister began in 1994 with the founding of Positive Eagles Soar, a non-profit organization aimed at helping individuals develop self-worth and become productive citizens. Through this organization, he has provided life coaching for disabled veterans, those with PTSD and individuals seeking to improve their people skills and cope with disabilities.
Mr. Kraft's career is marked by his service as an ordained minister and chaplain, roles he has held since 1992 after attending seminary in Atlanta, Georgia, within the Lutheran faith. He became the first Black chaplain with the American Legion in Delaware in 2007 and his work with Victory Village, a program for homeless veterans, included establishing a church called the Four Chaplains, where he served as a minister chaplain.
Before embarking on his path as a motivational life coach, Mr. Kraft served in the military for 20 years from 1966 to 1986. As a Marine gunner in combat and later as a Navy counselor providing guidance to military personnel and their families, he honed skills that would later inform his approach to life coaching. His military service also included participation in the Vietnam War, where he became a disabled combat veteran. Despite facing homelessness and destructive relationships, he has remained determined to bring life and goodness into society and help others do the same.
Mr. Kraft's educational background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration in interpersonal communications and personnel management from the University of Arizona and another Bachelor of Business Administration in communication and media studies from the University of Kentucky. These academic achievements have been instrumental in shaping his ability to connect with others and effectively communicate his message of hope and resilience. Additionally, he holds certification as a certified drug and alcohol counselor from the University of West Florida and the University of Arizona.
In his career, Mr. Kraft is proud to have worked with numerous individuals from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds worldwide. He has received training and commendations in racial reconciliation from the Southern Poverty Law Center and was recognized for his efforts in fostering cross-racial dialogue. However, he is most proud of overcoming homelessness to enter law school in 2001 at the age of 55.
Civically involved, Mr. Kraft serves on the board of the YMCA and has volunteered as a chaplain at the Wilmington VA Medical Center in Delaware for 14 years. He is also a supporter and donor to various organizations, reflecting his commitment to community service. His civic contributions have been recognized with awards, including the Delaware Governor's Award in 2012 and the Racial Resolution Award.
In his personal life, Mr. Kraft finds joy in spending time with his wife, Dolores Cromwell Kraft, his three children and engaging in motivational work, including speaking engagements. As a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild, he takes immense pride in his family's accomplishments. He continues to live his best life by doing what he loves—helping others without setting specific goals but rather embracing opportunities that arise through daily interactions with those in need teaching them how to soar (see opportunity and rise). Have a positive goal.
