Ms. Elliott has established a distinguished career in the health care and association management sectors, focusing on physical therapy advocacy and policy. As the executive director of the Physical Therapy Fund at the American Physical Therapy Association, she collaborates closely with her team to provide guidance and mentorship, ensuring strategic oversight and financial sustainability since 2021. She engages with key partners and stakeholders to facilitate community involvement in the fund's initiatives. Additionally, she serves as vice president of diversity, equity and inclusion for the association, a position she has held concurrently since 2021.

Ms. Elliott's career with the American Physical Therapy Association spans nearly two decades. From 2015 to 2021, she was vice president of payment and practice management, where she was pivotal in shaping payment policies and advocating for practice improvements. Prior to this, she served as senior director of payment policy and advocacy from 2013 to 2015, and as director of payment initiatives from 2011 to 2013. Her journey with the association began in 2006 as associate director of reimbursement.

Before joining the American Physical Therapy Association, Ms. Elliott gained valuable experience as a network development specialist at Comprehensive Health Services from 2005 to 2006 and at MAMSI from 2000 to 2001. She also served as a practice administrator at Calvert Physical Therapy from 2001 to 2004. Her extensive expertise in association operations, strategic planning, financial oversight and public speaking has been instrumental in her success.

Ms. Elliott's most notable achievement was her work in policy and advocacy with a major employer before the pandemic. She successfully advocated for changes that allowed millions of employees access to physical therapy services within their local communities, significantly reducing barriers to healthcare access. This accomplishment underscores her commitment to minimizing healthcare obstacles—a goal she has pursued throughout her career.

In addition to her professional achievements, Ms. Elliott has been an active member of several industry-related organizations, including the American College of Healthcare Executives and the National Association of Health Services Executives. She has also served on the board of directors for the Research Foundation Board and Audit Committee of the American Society of Association Executives™ since 2012. Her dedication to leadership and service is further exemplified by her involvement with the National Society of Leadership and Success and other professional associations.

Ms. Elliott's educational background has been foundational to her career accomplishments. She is pursuing a Doctor of Human Services in organizational leadership at Capella University, where she has been recognized on the President's List multiple times. She holds a Master of Science in health/health care administration/management from Marymount University, where she was awarded the Foster G. McGaw Scholarship upon graduating in 2001. Her academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in biology from Bowie State University in 1995.

Her certifications include being a doctoral candidate at Capella University and holding a diversity management certification from the Management & Strategy Institute since 2020. Additionally, she earned a diversity, equity and inclusion certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in May 2021.

Beyond her professional life, Ms. Elliott is deeply committed to civic engagement and community service. She has served on the board of directors for ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership since 2022 and has been involved with the National Diversity Council since 2020. Her contributions have been recognized with numerous awards, including Gold Circle Awards from ASAE for two consecutive years starting in 2021.

Born in Annapolis, Ms. Elliott enjoys spending time with family, hiking local parks in Virginia, reading inspirational books for personal development and taking short trips with loved ones. Looking ahead, she aspires to lead a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing resources to local communities—a testament to her enduring commitment to community advocacy and support.
