She began her journey at Marriott after graduating from the University of North Texas with a bachelor's degree in hospitality management and a minor in business in 1996. Initially hired on the spot after missing her exit and stopping at the Marriott first before her planned interview at the Harvey Hotel, she started at the front desk and quickly transitioned into sales through a summer internship. Her career trajectory saw her move across various locations, including Dallas and Houston before settling into significant, transformational roles in New Orleans for Marriott International.

During her tenure at Marriott, Ms. Rauch held several key positions, including director of sales and marketing for a new convention hotel. She was instrumental in rebuilding operations post-Hurricane Katrina, which led to the development of a new business model. Her leadership skills were recognized through numerous accolades, such as Sales Team of the Year for the U.S., multiple regional Sales Team of the Year Awards, and the Sales Leader Award for the region.

Ms. Rauch's academic background laid a strong foundation for her success. The support from her family, particularly her husband and parents, has been pivotal throughout her career. Their encouragement allowed her to pursue her passion for hospitality over medicine, leading to a fulfilling career that aligns with her love for people and event planning.
