Dr. Sullivan has established a distinguished career in physical chemistry and laboratory management, characterized by his commitment to excellence and innovation. Currently serving as a senior account executive at EAG Laboratories, Eurofins Scientific, since 2021, he is committed to enhancing laboratory operations and guiding his team toward achieving the highest standards of performance.

Dr. Sullivan's previous tenure at EAG Laboratories included his position as account executive in 2019, where he quickly demonstrated his ability to drive improvements and foster growth within the organization. Earlier, he succeeded as a failure analysis lab manager at EAG from 2014 to 2019. In this capacity, he was instrumental in setting up and managing reliability and failure analysis testing laboratories, a testament to his expertise in the field. Having dedicated over a decade to the organization's success, Dr. Sullivan has been instrumental in conducting sales calls, giving laboratory tours, and engaging with customers to ensure their samples are processed efficiently using the appropriate tools.

Recruited from Vishay Intertechnology Inc., Dr. Sullivan was a failure analysis engineer from 2012 to 2014. He also excelled as a failure analysis manager at Vishay Siliconix between 2012 and 2014. Dr. Sullivan's career also included significant contributions as the director of failure analysis at Nanolabs from 2011 to 2012 and as the manager of the failure analysis lab at ISE Labs between 2009 and 2011. Among other noteworthy roles, he began his professional journey with Surface Science Laboratories, where he spent two years as an ESCA analyst, laying the foundation for his subsequent achievements in both academia and industry.

Dr. Sullivan's academic credentials are equally impressive, having earned a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from the University of California (UC), Berkeley, in 1986. He further pursued graduate studies at the University of California, San Diego, obtaining both a master's degree and a Doctor of Philosophy in physical chemistry by 1993. Subsequently, Dr. Sullivan completed a postdoctoral fellowship at UC Berkeley between 1993 and 1994, which solidified his expertise in physical chemistry.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Dr. Sullivan is actively involved in civic organizations, including the PAL League, where he has served as an assistant soccer coach since 2012, and the Boy Scouts of America as a troop leader since 2018. He is also a generous donor to UC San Francisco Cancer Research, Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital and Second Harvest Food Bank. Moreover, as chair emeritus and past chair of IRPS FA section, Dr. Sullivan has made significant contributions to advancing research and development within his field.

Dr. Sullivan is an accomplished author with several publications to his name, including "Cancer Sucks: Dealing with Multiple Myeloma" and "Don't Date Crazy: The Phil-Am Dream Runs Into The American System," both published by Writers Republic LLC in 2023. Eager for future opportunities, Dr. Sullivan aims to complete his fourth book and transform "Failure Analysis" into an educational course with local colleges.
