Before joining Hearing Life, Mr. Columbus honed his skills in sales across various industries. From 2008 to 2016, he served as a sales consultant at Vic Canever. Prior to that, he worked as a sales consultant at Saturn of Clarkston for five years and at Waldecker Pontiac Buick for the preceding three years.

Mr. Columbus's early career centered on technical services and operations. From 1998 to 2000, he was an office manager at Wolf Lake Technical Service after working as a print room operator at Lason Systems from 1992 to 1997, which provided him with foundational skills in operations management.

Educationally, Mr. Columbus completed coursework at Oakland Community College and earned his high school diploma from Lake Orion High School in 1989. He also holds several certifications, including board-certified hearing specialist in the state of Michigan, a hearing dealer certification and a CPR certification.

Dedicated to serving his community, Mr. Columbus is actively involved in civic organizations and coaching roles, serving as an ambassador for the Fenton Regional Chamber of Commerce since 2012. He also contributes to youth sports as an assistant coach for the Grand Blanc Gladiators and head coach for both Mayhem Baseball since 2014 and Foutch Baseball since 2015.

Mr. Columbus's personal life is enriched by his love for sports and family activities. He plays softball with his son and participates in adult softball leagues himself, enjoying the camaraderie of the team. His coaching experience extends beyond youth teams to men's softball as well.
