Before his current position, Mr. Bacon served as senior engineer for the Board of Inspection and Survey from 2021 to 2023. His responsibilities included ensuring the operational readiness of naval vessels through rigorous inspections and assessments. Previously, he served as the Director of Material Readiness and Engineering for Littoral Combat Ship Squadron One from 2018 to 2021, overseeing maintenance and operational readiness for three squadrons of Littoral Combat Ships.

From 2016 to 2018, Mr. Bacon held the position of Main Propulsion Assistant aboard the USS America, where he managed propulsion systems and contributed to the ship's overall engineering operations. His earlier roles include serving as class maintenance execution manager for Commander, Littoral Combat Ship Squadron One, from 2014 to 2016, and chief engineer for the USS Independence Blue Crew from 2011 to 2014. He began his officer career as a Boilers Officer on USS Blue Ridge from 2004 to 2008, and also served as Main Propulsion Assistant and the ship's material maintenance officer on the USS Wayne E. Meyer from 2008 to 2010.

Mr. Bacon's academic achievements have significantly contributed to his professional accomplishments. He holds an ABD in organizational psychology from Capella University, which he completed in 2018. Additionally, he holds an MBA in strategic leadership from Touro University International, where he graduated summa cum laude in 2007, and a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the same institution, with a magna cum laude distinction, in 2001. These educational experiences have equipped him with strategic insights and leadership skills that have been pivotal in his naval career.

Throughout his service, Mr. Bacon has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Commander, Naval Surface Forces, Peer Leadership Award in 2007 and 2013, six Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, ten Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, and three Meritorious Service Medals. These accolades underscore his commitment to excellence and leadership within the Navy.

In addition to his military career, Mr. Bacon has contributed creatively as an author for CRO Magazine. His writings reflect his deep understanding of leadership and personal development, themes that resonate throughout his professional journey.
