Additionally, he was an infrastructure systems engineer IV SME at General Dynamics Information Technology from 2010 to 2016. His professional journey began as a senior heavy equipment supervisor with the Florida Department of Transportation in St. Augustine, Florida, in 2010.

A veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mr. Jones served as a utility equipment repair technician and heavy equipment supervisor from 1995 to 2015. His military service provided a strong foundation for his civilian career, instilling the discipline and technical skills that have contributed to his success.

Academically, Mr. Jones holds a Master of Science in Cybersecurity from American Military University, which he earned in 2018, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on information management technology from Columbus Southern University, obtained in 2015. He also possesses several certifications, including one in construction engineering and management from the University of Michigan, which he earned in 2025, and a master level preventative maintenance technician certification from Mainstream Engineering Corporation, obtained in 2015.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mr. Jones is actively involved in several industry-related organizations, such as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the International Council on Systems Engineering. He demonstrates his commitment to civic engagement through his long-standing role as a Scoutmaster and Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America since 1983.
