LITTLE ELM, TX, August 04, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Clara Rulegura Ford, MA, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Ford has established a distinguished career in the banking and finance sector, currently serving as a commissioned bank examiner at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas since 2024. Her journey with the Federal Reserve began in 2020 when she joined as a senior associate examiner. With this organization, she has been instrumental in evaluating financial institutions to ensure compliance with federal regulations, drawing on her extensive background in commercial credit underwriting and banking.

Prior to her tenure at the Federal Reserve, Ms. Ford was an assistant vice president and commercial lending officer at Merrill Lynch, now part of Bank of America Corporation, from 2017 to 2019. Not only was being offered this position a highlight for her, but she was also honored with a post-tax signing bonus of $40,000, part of which she used to fund her nonprofit. Her expertise in commercial lending was honed during this period, and she played a pivotal role in assessing and managing credit risk for corporate clients. This position followed her completion of a master's degree in applied economics from Southern Methodist University in 2017.

Ms. Ford's early career in finance includes her tenure at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where she worked as a commercial credit underwriter from 2010 to 2016. Her responsibilities included evaluating the creditworthiness of businesses and structuring financial solutions to meet their needs. This foundational work experience was built upon her earlier academic achievements, having graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from the University of Houston-Downtown in 2010.

Before entering the banking industry, Ms. Ford gained valuable experience as a manufacturing specialist at Texas Instruments Incorporated from 2002 to 2010. While working full-time, she balanced her responsibilities with pursuing her undergraduate degree and raising three children. Her role involved operating equipment for computer chip production, which provided her with a strong work ethic and problem-solving skills that have been beneficial throughout her career.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Ms. Ford is deeply committed to civic work and community development. She is the founder and president of Kijiji Innovative Sustainable Solutions (KISS), a nonprofit organization founded in 2020 that focuses on development initiatives in Tanzania, Ms. Ford's country of origin. The organization takes a multidisciplinary approach to village development by teaching sustainable building techniques, such as making compressed earth blocks, and partnering with universities and research institutes to empower local communities and foster entrepreneurship. Inspired by her father's dedication to public service, Ms. Ford aims to establish a community center in her father's village to provide educational and economic opportunities.

Overall, Ms. Ford credits her success to the influence of her father, who inspired her commitment to making a meaningful impact. After coming to the U.S. from Tanzania in 2000 while pregnant and facing personal setbacks, she chose to stay and build a life focused on opportunity and perseverance. Motivated by her daughter and the belief that success is possible through hard work, she eventually founded her nonprofit.

Ms. Ford's dedication to education is further exemplified by her membership in Beta Gamma Sigma, an international honor society recognizing business excellence. She was also part of the Bill Clinton Global Initiative University 2020 Cohort and is actively involved with the Diaspora Council of Tanzanians in America (DICOTA) and the Tanzanian Cycling Club.

In her personal life, Ms. Ford enjoys traveling, cycling, reading, watching historical programs and spending time with her three children. She also takes an interest in languages, currently learning Mandarin and Italian in addition to her English and Swahili.

In the upcoming years, Ms. Ford plans to retire from her current position to focus entirely on expanding her nonprofit efforts. Her passion for giving back to the community drives her vision for KISS, where she hopes to make a significant impact by providing resources and opportunities for development initiatives in Tanzania.
