Prior to launching IDEA Insurance, Mr. Collado gained vital experience as a benefits consultant at WellCare Health Plans (2016–2019), where he deepened his understanding of the Medicare & Medicaid healthcare landscape and its effect on everyday families. During this time he helped hundreds of families navigate the importance of obtaining a strong healthcare insurance carrier and how by this can improve their overall health.

Earlier in his career, he held a leadership role at Optum, subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group (2010–2016), where he demonstrated a gift for mentoring high-performing teams and fostering strong client relationships delivering exceptional service to his clients, further solidifying his reputation as a capable leader in the insurance realm.

His start in the industry began at Connextions (now TTEC), where he laid the foundation for his people-first approach in insurance sales developing client engagement techniques.

Mr. Collado earned an Associate of Arts degree in accounting and finance from Valencia College in 2010, and credits this academic foundation with shaping his strategic thinking and business operations. However, his greatest lessons have come through mentorship, faith, and service.

Looking back on his journey thus far, Mr. Collado attributes his success to his dedication to service, strong leadership qualities, community involvement and commitment to continuous improvement. These attributes have also seen Idea Insurance honored with accolades such as the Fastest Growing Agency for Medicare & Under 65 Sales Award in 2025, the Best of Florida Regional Award in 2024 and the Best Insurance Agency Award in Orlando from Inbound Systems Inc. in 2023, highlighting its reputation as a community cornerstone. Another significant milestone came when his office was honored as an Integrity Partner, which opened more professional doors and allowed the agency to sell products across the United States.

But for Mr. Collado, awards are simply markers of a greater mission: to build a faith-driven, agent-led movement that helps underserved families thrive. Mr. Collado's heart for service extends far beyond the business world. He is an active volunteer and dedicated supporter of Samaritan's Purse, Royal Rangers USA, and Legendarios Global an initiative that helps men encounter purpose through faith. Reflecting his belief that "life is about more than money," he is currently developing programs at IDEA Insurance to support people's well-being — including an internal emergency fund, a care team to help employees through personal and financial challenges. Furthermore, he sees his business as a ministry opportunity for his team to volunteer in the community and make a higher impact by having a greater purpose as an organization.
