Mr. Legault's career began at his alma mater, Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, where he served as an Aviation Weather and Dispatch Specialist from 2014 to 2015, and then as a Certified Flight Instructor until 2018. During this time, he imparted foundational knowledge to students pursuing careers in aviation. Pivoting, Mr. Legault joined Republic Airways as a First Officer from 2018 to 2019. These experiences provided him with invaluable insights into commercial aviation operations and honed his skills in real-world flying conditions.

In preparation for his career in this sector, Mr. Legault earned an associate degree in aviation flight and a bachelor's degree in aviation management from Southern Illinois University. These educational achievements laid the groundwork for his professional journey, equipping him with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in various roles within the aviation sector.

Mr. Legault holds several certifications from the Federal Aviation Administration and the U.S. Department of Transportation, including an Airline Transport Pilot certification for the ERJ-170/190, and Certified Flight Instructor certification. These credentials underscore Mr. Legault's commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and proficiency in the aviation industry.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Legault is actively involved with industry-related organizations, such as the National Gay Pilots Association, where he has served as a faculty advisor for the Southern Illinois University chapter since 2017. He is also a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association Inc. Previously, Mr. Legault was associated with the Aviation Management Society at Southern Illinois University from 2012 to 2016 and Served as President of Aviation Ambassadors from 2015-2016.
