Later, Ms. Boettger continued her education at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she earned a Bachelor of Music in vocal performance with a concentration in opera. Her academic pursuits were instrumental in shaping her career, providing her with the foundational skills and knowledge necessary for success. The influence of her professors and early teachers further instilled in her a commitment to hard work and perseverance, qualities that have been pivotal throughout her professional life.

After earning her degree, Ms. Boettger spent the early part of her career performing professionally in opera, musical theater and dance. While continuing to perform, she also began teaching at a music school and soon discovered a passion for guiding others. This inspired her to establish her own studio, where she now focuses on helping students develop their skills. Though she occasionally misses performing, she finds deep fulfillment in teaching and nurturing the next generation of artists.

In her early career, Ms. Boettger is proud of giving many notable performances, including her role as Lalume in the operetta "Kismet," which stands out as one of her most cherished achievements. This experience allowed her to connect with artists from various states and opera companies, enriching her understanding and appreciation of the art form. Additionally, she was selected to perform in Bermuda for a millennium symphony and was accepted into the Spoleto Vocal Symposium, further showcasing her talent on an international stage.

Beyond performance, Ms. Boettger has contributed significantly to the community through various civic projects. She has directed children's choirs and organized donations to veterans and children's hospitals, as well as local churches. She is also involved in industry organizations, bolstering her network as a current member of the Music Teachers National Association, the Cary-Apex Piano Teachers Association, and the National Association of Teachers of Singing and is accredited through the BBB.

In addition to her musical pursuits, Ms. Boettger holds a personal trainer certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She enjoys training clients in her home studio, working out at the gym and teaching water aerobics, balance classes and step classes.
