For nearly three decades, Ms. Oliver held various leadership roles at Solar Turbines Incorporated, a division of Caterpillar. She began her journey in 1997 after earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from San Diego State University. She honed skills in material planning, contract management, quality assurance, procurement, and strategic sourcing. Later, as Value Stream Manager & Facility Quality Manager, she implemented closed-loop corrective action and "Built-in Quality" methodologies.

Her expertise led to the company sponsoring her Master of Science in Supply Chain Management from the University of San Diego's Knauss School of Business in 2004. Ms. Oliver then designed and globally deployed the division's Supply Chain Management Organization, first in the United States and then in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, including an expatriate assignment in Switzerland. Her work resulted in a President's Quality Award in 2009 for the Supply Chain transformation and another in 2011 for Value Stream transformation. In 2013, she was a finalist for the Women in Industry Visionary Award for her contributions.

Upon returning to the US, Ms. Oliver managed Experimental Manufacturing Assembly and Tooling Operations, and led the division's apprenticeship program. Her leadership capabilities were further demonstrated through appointments to manage Turbine Engine Assembly and Test, Gear Manufacturing and Design, and as Director of Growth Enabling Systems, driving innovation through technology strategy and global deployments. She was recognized as a Division Finalist for Diversity and Inclusion work in 2018.

From 2019 to 2023, as Director of Global Supply Chain, Ms. Oliver's profound expertise and strategic leadership ensured business continuity and success amidst extreme market conditions. The organizational structure she established two decades prior proved resilient during this period. She retired in 2024 as Director of Enterprise Quality, Lean, and Enabling Technology, after nearly 28 years of service to Caterpillar.

Ms. Oliver's influence extended to industry organizations, including the Society of Women Engineers, where she received the SPARK Award in 2019 for impactful mentorship. Her commitment to continuous learning is evidenced by numerous certifications in areas such as supply chain management, purchasing, ISO and Six Sigma, alongside her collaboration with the University of San Diego Supply Chain Institute.

Beyond her corporate achievements, Ms. Oliver demonstrates a deep commitment to civic engagement, serving as the Chair of the Board of Directors for United Way of San Diego County and having sat on multiple college Boards throughout her career. With over 30 years dedicated to supporting nonprofits, her philanthropic efforts have earned accolades such as Board of Nonprofit Leader of Influence of the Year in 2025 and Volunteer of the Year in 2022. Ms. Oliver's career is defined by her profound competence, unwavering integrity, and extraordinary achievements, extended through her wise mentorship which inspires both civic engagement and a dedication to continuous learning in industry. Looking ahead, she plans to author a book on global supply chain resilience, continue consulting and educating, and cherish time with her family, including her five grandchildren.
