In this capacity, he relies on experience gained from honorable service in the United States Army as an aviator between 1984 and 2004. Dr. Bentley's most significant achievement during his rewarding military tenure was the establishment of a new helicopter training program for the Air Force, a testament to his dedication and innovative approach.

After transitioning from military service, Dr. Bentley leveraged his earned experience in a role as a senior systems analyst at QinetiQ North America from 2004 to 2006, followed by positions at DynCorp International as a deputy program manager and airfield safety manager from 2006 to 2008. Subsequently, he progressed to become the deputy site lead at Imperatis Corporation from 2008 to 2009, after which Dr. Bentley exercised his entrepreneurial inclinations to launch a Planet Beach franchise from 2010 to 2012.

An abiding passion for continuous learning prompted Dr. Bentley to accept a teaching assignment at Liberty University, where he joined the faculty in 2020 as an online adjunct instructor. He currently teaches at the rank of online assistant professor at the institution. Dr. Bentley's previous experience as a program manager for CAE USA from 2022 to 2024 and a series of positions with Amentum Services Inc. between 2013 and 2022 also provided him with valuable insights into customer-centric sales and training administration.

Exceptional academic success further defines Dr. Bentley's profile. He holds an Associate of Science in general studies from Young Harris College in 1984, after which he completed a Bachelor of Science in professional aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 1996. He also holds two master's degrees from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University: one in aeronautical science and another in aerospace management with a concentration in safety systems, both completed in 2003. Notably, Dr. Bentley also earned a Doctor of Philosophy in business administration with a focus on homeland security leadership and policy from Northcentral University in 2019.

A range of distinct professional certifications further demonstrate Dr. Bentley's dedication to excellence, including the project management professional certification, obtained in 2020, and the Lean Six Sigma white belt certification, which he secured in 2021. Dr. Bentley also holds prestigious credentials from Agile Foundations, and he is a Certified Flight Instructor - Instrument-Rotary (CFII).

Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Bentley actively seeks opportunities for civic engagement. He served as the board president of the Fort Rucker Board of Education from 1997 to 2000 and advocates for Disabled American Veterans.
