As the senior vice president of scientific services at eNOVA, Leontine Narcisse-Ogera, MD, PhD, focuses on pushing the company forward, ensuring it remains on the cutting edge of the pharmaceutical industry. She joined eNOVA in 2022, assisting with the company's acquisition by IQVIA, a leading provider of biopharmaceutical development, professional consulting and commercial outsourcing services, and serving as a liaison between the two companies. At eNOVA, she oversees the scientific department, setting performance standards and managing employees' professional development.

Dr. Narcisse-Ogera credits her success to her extensive education and experience as a surgeon, particularly her 2009 fellowship in surgical critical care at Westchester Medical Center. Her exposure to trauma codes and direct involvement in operating room emergencies has equipped her with a composure crucial for effectively handling high-pressure scenarios. She began her education at Columbia University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Latin and pre-medicine before pursuing graduate education at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she received a Doctor of Medicine and a Doctor of Philosophy in neuropathology. Moving forward in her career, she completed a surgical residency at New York Methodist Hospital prior to her fellowship in surgical care.

In 2010, Dr. Narcisse-Ogera joined the staff at Health Science Communications as the assistant medical director, rising to associate medical director in 2012. She went on to serve as the associate medical director of ClinicalMind for a year before becoming the medical director of ProHealth, an IPG Health company. Two years after joining, she was promoted to senior medical director, a position she maintained from 2015 to 2016, at which point she rose to vice president and medical strategy director. Leaving ProHealth in 2018, she worked as the senior scientific director and team lead for Alligent Group, a part of Envision Pharma Group, for two years, then spent another two years as the executive director of scientific communications for Vaniam Group until joining eNOVA in 2022.

When considering the entirety of her career, Dr. Narcisse-Ogera believes her most significant accomplishment involved retaining a multimillion-dollar account by actively engaging as a customer on the inside while serving as an assistant medical director at Health Science Communications. This initiative prevented a subsidiary company from leaving the organization and its associated agencies. While at Vaniam, she designed and created a writer training program, hiring and training over 28 new writers. Through a blind review process, she hired many women, people of color and older professionals seeking to switch fields. These individuals, who might otherwise have struggled to enter the industry, became valuable members of her team, and she is proud to have played a part in progressing their careers.

Moving forward, Dr. Narcisse-Ogera aims to support her team in acclimating to the changes following the acquisition of eNOVA by IQVIA. In addition, she intends to play a key role in establishing a new division within the company, implementing effective guidelines and collaboration practices. As a liaison, she plans to effectively communicate the identity, purpose and value proposition of eNOVA to IQVIA, ensuring both remain true to their goals.
