Mrs. Ballard-Wright's path into agriculture was shaped by early experiences with food insecurity and time spent in foster care, which instilled in her a deep understanding of the importance of structure and support for children. Inspired by her grandmother Barbara Ballard's kindness and exposure to music and drama, Mrs. Ballard-Wright developed resilience that would guide her through life's challenges. Mrs. Ballard-Wright credits her husband, Effrin Wright, for his unwavering support during the development of her technology, particularly as she navigated the complexities of innovation. Beyond her professional pursuits, Mrs. Ballard-Wright is civically engaged as an animal care associate at Horse Haven Farms, a volunteer staff member with Youth Advocate Programs Inc., a volunteer with Animal Rehabilitators and SOS Children's Villages International and a youth specialist at Macomb County Child Advocacy Center Care House Inc.
