LOS ANGELES, CA, August 20, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Robert L. Hymers III, CPA, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Marked by nearly 20 years of professional experience and a reputation for guiding individuals and organizations through complex financial challenges, Mr. Hymers has established a prominent career in finance, taxation, hedge fund management and business leadership. As the managing partner of Pinnacle Tax Services since 2012, he has led the firm in providing comprehensive tax compliance services to corporations, partnerships and select individuals. Under his direction, Pinnacle has also become known for its expertise in resolving tax debt issues with the IRS and other state authorities. Recognized as an advocate for small businesses, particularly in Los Angeles, he is particularly proud of his work helping clients overcome financial, tax and compliance obstacles that often threaten a company's survival.
Since 2016, Mr. Hymers has also served as the CEO of Pinnacle Consulting, an advisory firm that assists publicly traded companies with Securities and Exchange Commission filings, capital formation strategies and debt restructuring. His leadership and expertise enables clients to navigate regulatory complexities and develop sustainable growth plans.
In 2019, Mr. Hymers assumed the role of chief executive officer at Pinnacle Entertainment, an independent production company dedicated to creating culturally impactful films. The company's most recent production, "The Lady of Guadalupe," exemplifies its commitment to meaningful storytelling that resonates with diverse audiences.
Prior to joining Pinnacle, he began his professional journey at Ernst & Young (EY), serving as a senior tax professional for three years and an auditor for two years. His tenure there provided him with vital experience in auditing and tax advisory services, laying a strong foundation for his future success.
Mr. Hymers' equally accomplished academic background includes a master's degree in taxation from California State University Northridge, where he graduated summa cum laude in 2009. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in accountancy and business administration from California State University Northridge (CSUN), graduating summa cum laude. Determined to make an impact outside the classroom, he served as a director at the school from 2006 to 2008 — during which he contributed to academic initiatives within the university's accounting department — and was the founding managing editor of CSUN's Tax Development Journal.
To augment his financial knowledge and qualifications, Mr. Hymers was certified as a public accountant by the California Board of Accountancy in 2008 — a credential that underscores his technical proficiency and ethical standards within the profession. His achievements have been recognized throughout the industry, notably when he was named one of the Top 100 Accountants by the Los Angeles Business Journal in both 2023 and 2024.
Reflecting on his storied journey thus far, Mr. Hymers attributes his success to his faith, family upbringing and personal effort. He credits divine providence as well as the strong moral foundation instilled by his parents — his mother who homeschooled him and his father who served as a Baptist minister — for shaping his values and work ethic. His persistence, creativity and adaptability have enabled him to transition from traditional accounting into entrepreneurship, staying ahead of recent industry changes driven by technology and artificial intelligence.
Also known for his civic-minded contributions, Mr. Hymers is the founder of the Hymers Family Foundation for Arts and Education, which supports local charities focused on education, awareness and the arts. Through this initiative, he established a family endowment at CSUN that provides annual financial awards each year to at least two students in perpetuity within the accounting department — a testament to his commitment to fostering future leaders in his field.
A dedicated husband and father of three, My Hymers cherishes quality time with his family, engaging with his community, riding his bike, hiking in the mountains and traveling. Looking ahead, he aims to expand his involvement with local efforts related to education, financial literacy and the arts — areas he believes are essential yet often underfunded. By addressing broader societal concerns such as cultural identity and social division, he aspires to help reconnect young people with their communities through churches and local programs while promoting deeper civic engagement throughout society at large.
