His role involves offering IT infrastructure consultancy for airports worldwide, with a particular focus on the Americas and the Caribbean. He leads and manages teams of consultants and subject matter experts, developing IT Master Plans and IT infrastructure commercialization strategies. Additionally, he conducts analyses of new ATI products and partnerships, preparing and validating assessments of airport IT services and products while recommending solutions. As the focal point for technical matters in the Americas, Middle East and Africa regions, Mr. Soares drives new business opportunities with remarkable acumen.

Before his current position, Mr. Soares was a senior business and technical consultant for the Americas and Caribbean at SITA from 2019 to 2024. In this capacity, he played a pivotal role in advising on significant projects, including those at Abu Dhabi Airport, Bahrain Airport, Ulaanbaatar Airport and Baku Airport. His most notable achievement during this period was his involvement in a $82 million project in Angola, Africa, where he advised on border-related products and technologies to enhance the country's border security across land, air and sea borders.

In 2019, Mr. Soares served as the Aiports Solutions Line (ASL) Engineer Manager for the Bahrain International Airport modernization project. The previous year, he held the position of ASL Solutions Design Manager for the same project from 2018 to 2019. From 2015 to 2018, he was an ASL Senior Solutions Design Principal for the Abu Dhabi MTB project. His earlier roles at SITA included serving as the IP Telephony and Convergence Services Authority from 2008 to 2015 and as Business Solutions Manager from 2000 to 2008.

Mr. Soares began his career as a telecom engineer at VARIG from 1994 to 1997, following his roles as a Senior Flight Simulator Engineer from 1990 to 1994 and a Flight Simulator Technician from 1986 to 1990. Throughout his career, Mr. Soares has been recognized with SITA awards for his contributions and is an active member of industry-related organizations, including PMI, ACC and ISACA.

Mr. Soares's academic background includes a bachelor's degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Universidade Veiga de Almeida in Rio de Janeiro, where he graduated in 1995. This educational foundation laid the groundwork for his fascination with the aviation industry—a passion ignited when he first worked under an aircraft. This interest propelled him into a career focused on airport operations and the integration of technology.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Soares is civically engaged through support of his local church in Atlanta and charity work involving construction and crisis assistance. He is also an avid scuba diver since 2000 and a hobbyist music producer and DJ for more than 12 years.

Looking ahead, Mr. Soares aims to continue his consultancy work with aspirations of establishing his own consulting company.
