ALBUQUERQUE, NM, August 22, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Bradley David Evans has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Evans, an accomplished electrical engineer, has built a multifaceted career at the intersection of engineering, music and education. Currently, he serves as an intern with the National Nuclear Security Agency's Minority Serving Institution Partnership Program at Sandia National Laboratories, part of the U.S. Department of Energy, which has funded his doctoral degree since 2022. In this capacity, Mr. Evans is engaged in advanced research on synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image processing, focusing on the challenge of clutter signals from moving objects that interfere with image clarity. His work aims to enhance signal strength and refine SAR images, building upon prior research conducted with General Atomics in San Diego, where he utilized vibrometry techniques to measure ground vibrations. This research is part of the broader field of remote sensing, which includes applications such as mapping the Earth's surface and monitoring geological changes.

Simultaneously, Mr. Evans has been a graduate student and teaching assistant in the department of electrical and computer engineering at the University of New Mexico since 2018, and a graduate electrical engineer specializing in signal processing and SAR radar on campus and at Sandia National Laboratories since 2022. His responsibilities include conducting research, writing academic papers and mentoring students. Notably, Mr. Evans is currently preparing a paper for submission to the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers' (IEEE) Radar Conference in Phoenix.

In 2021, Mr. Evans completed a research internship at the Air Force Research Laboratory, a division of the U.S. Air Force. From 2017 to 2018, he worked as an office assistant II in the department of electrical and computer engineering at the University of New Mexico. Mr. Evans also dedicated several years to music education and research at the University of North Texas between 2005 and 2013. He served as a graduate student web designer and grader, a copyist and engraver, and a teaching assistant starting in 2005. During this period, he taught music theory and composition, integrating his mathematical background into his teaching methods for college-age students who were new to music classes.

Among Mr. Evans's earlier roles, he held the title of computer salesperson at UCI Computer Store, physicist at Rockwell International Corporation (now part of Boeing Corporation), electrical and radar engineer at Hughes Aircraft Company, and science STEM teacher for the Upward Bound Teaching Program under the U.S. Department of Education.

Mr. Evans's academic journey is distinguished by a blend of scientific rigor and artistic exploration. He hold a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from the University of California (UC) Irvine since 1984, a Master of Science in elementary particle physics from the University of Kansas since 1988, a Bachelor of Arts in music theory and composition from Claire Trevor School of the Arts at the University of California, Irvine, since 2000, a Master of Music in music theory and composition and a Master of Science in electrical electronics and communications engineering from California State University Fullerton since 2005 and 2016, respectively, and was studying for a Doctor of Philosophy in music theory from the University of North Texas since 2005. Mr. Evans is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in signal processing within electrical engineering at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.

Active in his professional community, which reflects his commitment to both engineering and music, Mr. Evans is affiliated with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Ralph Vaughan Williams Society. Civically engaged, he maintains membership with the UC Irvine Alumni Association.

In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Evans remains dedicated to mentoring young people through teaching various groups of younger students, providing guidance and encouragement, and serving as a supportive figure or mentor for those navigating their educational journeys. He also aspires to continue conducting experiments related to synthetic aperture radar signals and clutter analysis while also preparing presentations for leading industry conferences.
