Ms. McCambridge has dedicated her life to supporting those navigating the complexities of grief, particularly children. As the president of the Foundation for Grieving Children, Inc., an organization she launched in 2003, she has made it her mission to address the financial gap among independent organizations that assist children who have lost loved ones. Her foundation is unique in its focus on raising funds and providing grants to sustain these vital services. Ms. McCambridge's commitment to these unique causes is evident in her rigorous efforts to ensure that all resources are appropriately directed toward the foundation's objectives.

Ms. McCambridge initiated her career as a grief and bereavement specialist in 1984, when she assisted, educated and comforted survivors of homicide victims. Her dedication, in part motivated by intimate experiences with loss, led her to a profound opportunity to train homicide detectives, district attorneys and crime victim witness professionals to better assist survivors.

As the founding treasurer of Justice for All Political Action Committee, she lobbied and wrote legislation for the benefit of crime victims and their families. She also co-founded the first chapter of Parents of Murdered Children in New York City, which served families in all five boroughs, Long Island, upstate New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania.

In addition to her work with the foundation, Ms. McCambridge is a prolific author and speaker. She has written several books, including 21 Things You Must Know About the Grieving Process, Understanding Your Grieving Heart After a Loved One's Death, and Understanding Your Child's Shattered Heart After a Loved One's Death, which offers guidance to those dealing with loss.

Ms. McCambridge's expertise in bereavement and grief is further reflected in a range of diverse creative endeavors. Over her career, she has additionally assisted professional, entrepreneurial and retired men as their confidante during their personal grieving process.

She established The Mary Mac Show Podcast | Grieving a Loved One's Death – www.TheMaryMacShow.com in 2019. Over five years in operation, she released more than 260 episodes heard in over 130 countries, including a six-week series for bereaved mothers and over 40 shows addressing the pervasive fentanyl crisis. Notably, Ms. McCambridge's work, which also covered themes related to terrorism and natural disasters, has been duly recognized by prestigious media outlets.

Exceptional academic achievements further shape Ms. McCambridge's distinct presence in her field. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Services and Counseling from the University of Scranton, completed in 1979, and she earned a Master of Business Administration in Finance with a minor in International Business from Fordham University's Graduate School of Business in 1982.

Throughout her career, she has accepted numerous accolades for her contributions to the field of grief support. These include the Frank J. O'Hara Award from the University of Scranton, her undergraduate alma mater's highest recognition of distinguished alumni and the Healing Hands Award from A Caring Hand for her over 25 years of work with grieving children. Ms. McCambridge was also honored by the New York State Senate Legislative Resolution for her work with survivors of homicide victims and Best New Directory, First Edition for The National Directory of Bereavement Support Groups and Services by the Directory Publishers Association.

Recently, she has also been selected as Top Grief Specialist and Podcast Host of the Year by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP).

Beyond her professional endeavors, Ms. McCambridge's personal interests include spending time with her husband, traveling, reading, dancing, homeopathy and photography. Looking toward the future, Ms. McCambridge plans to publish additional books and develop projects for grieving children and their families while supporting centers dedicated to this cause across the country.
