From 2014 to 2022, Mr. Wilkerson served as the executive vice president and director of technology at CommunityBank of Texas N.A., also in Houston. He previously held the position of senior vice president and information technology manager for the bank between 2008 and 2014, where he managed the entire IT department and critical information technology operations, which included over 35 branches.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Wilkerson worked as a network engineer at Compass Bank from 2007 to 2008 and served as a server support manager at Texas State Bank in the Beaumont–Port Arthur area of Texas between 2004 and 2007, overseeing server infrastructure and support services.

Mr. Wilkerson's educational background includes an Associate of Applied Science in computer robotics technology and an associate degree in industrial technology from Lamar University. The knowledge gained through these programs has provided a strong foundation for his achievements in designing and managing complex technological systems and has been instrumental in driving organizational success across multiple financial institutions.

Actively involved in several industry-related organizations, Mr. Wilkerson is a member of the Houston chapter of the CISO Executive Network and a founding member of the Banking Information Sharing and Analysis Organization. Additionally, he participates in TEXAS CIO and serves as a member of the governing body for the Texas Technology Summit. These affiliations reflect Mr. Wilkerson's commitment to advancing best practices within the information technology sector.
