He is presently in transition to join Gymkhana, a Michelin two-star restaurant, for its pre-opening under ARIA Resort & Casino, Las Vegas, slated for mid-September 2025.
Mr. Khetwal's academic background has been integral to his professional accomplishments. He earned a master's degree in hospitality 2020 in India, which equipped him with advanced knowledge of hotel management and service excellence. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Uttarakhand, India, graduating in 2004, and a bachelor's degree in hotel management from the Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition in Hyderabad, India, completed in 2006. These academic achievements laid the groundwork for his success by providing a comprehensive understanding of both business principles and culinary arts.
After graduating from the Institute of Hotel Management, Chef Khetwal began his professional career in India and later expanded his expertise to global kitchens. His career highlights include leadership roles at ITC Hotels, Marriott International, Hilton, and Hyatt properties across India and Thailand.
Today, he is celebrated for bridging Indian traditions with contemporary global dining experiences, offering a refined approach to modern gastronomy while honoring his heritage.
At Jaks, he led the pre-opening and launch of the acclaimed Bay Area restaurant, which quickly earned recognition from The Mercury News, San Francisco Chronicle, East Bay Times, Modern Luxury Silicon Valley Magazine, Forbes Magazine and MSN. His innovative menus, rooted in authentic Indian flavors, have been praised for redefining Indian dining in the U.S.
Beyond his professional responsibilities, Mr. Khetwal is actively involved with civic-minded organizations. Since 2021, he has been an associate with Pledge Foundation and is also associated with Nanhi Pari Foundation, reflecting his dedication to community engagement.
His contributions have been recognized through several accolades, including being named a gold medalist at the Indian Federation of Culinary Associations Competition in 2008. Mr. Khetwal credits his success to his ability to learn and master the basics.
