Her impact at Walmart is quantifiable and significant. Her work on these and other products has delivered significant multimillion-dollar value through operational savings, efficiency gains, and improved employee productivity.
She conceived and led the end-to-end strategy for MyTech, a comprehensive enterprise solution for employee tech support. Under her leadership, the platform integrated physical tech spots, digital self-service tools, and virtual support options, introducing AI-driven diagnostics and recommendations. This initiative dramatically improved the employee experience, resulting in a staggering 96-point swing in Net Promoter Score (NPS) from -60 to +36 within a two-year period leading a global team. For this transformative work, which served over 100,000 Walmart corporate employees, she was honored with Walmart's 2023 Most Valuable Player Individual Award.
Furthermore, she spearheaded the launch of Report Hub, a finance digital transformation platform she designed that automated complex financial reporting. Her technology solution reduced reporting time for executives from 5 months to 5 minutes, a revolutionary improvement that empowered finance analysts and executives with real-time finance reporting data at their fingertips. With her immense depth in product research and insight driven approach, this product also achieved a 60-point improvement in NPS, and earned her the Walmart 2021 Make a Difference Award.

A Foundation of Technology Research Excellence: Prior to her tenure at corporate Walmart, Ms. Shrivastava's work was rooted in pioneering technology research from 2017 to 2019. As a graduate research assistant at the University of Maryland's Human-Computer Interaction Lab (HCIL) and Maryland Blended Reality Center (funded by Oculus founder Brendan Iribe), she conducted foundational work in human-computer interaction through various research initiatives. Her research contributions are acknowledged in research labs and peer-reviewed publications presented at the premier ACM CHI conference, including but not limited to Geollery: A Mixed Reality Social Media Platform and, MeteoVis: Visualizing Meteorological Events in Virtual Reality, published in extended Abstracts of the 2020 CHI Conference.
She further honed her expertise as a summer research intern at Stanford University in 2018, co-developing innovative AI driven wearable real time haptic feedback systems for emotion regulation at the renowned Stanford Psychophysiology Lab contributing significantly to the research team and research paper HapLand: A Scalable Robust Emotion Regulation Haptic System.
Proven Leadership in Corporate Technology: Before her research tenure, Ms. Shrivastava served as a project engineer at Wipro from 2015 to 2017. Her consulting, contract negotiations and execution through Wipro to Microsoft was crucial in redesigning product experience and timelines. There, she played a pivotal role in defining and executing product roadmaps, introducing an AI-driven recommendation system that increased feature adoption by 20%. She led a global team of four, orchestrating vision workshops and delivering implementation of improved keyword searching capabilities for internal enterprise tools.
A Serial Entrepreneur with Demonstrated Impact: Ms. Shrivastava's entrepreneurial spirit was evident early in her career and throughout her career journey. Her entrepreneurial drive has manifested in multiple successful ventures: She was a co-founder of Code & Play during her University of Maryland days where she launched an online K-12 coding school after being selected for the exclusive and prestigious Startup Shell incubator at the University of Maryland. She was responsible for building experience and bridging the gap between STEM and students for early exposure of students in STEM. Her other ventures include being founder and CEO to ACipher Tech in India. Under one of the first startup incubators in India, the Amity Innovation Incubator, she raised funding and won incubator support for two groundbreaking products: Shop n Stock: Pioneered a first-of-its-kind AI-enabled marketplace using recommender and computer vision technology, to buy and sell used books, promoted sustainability by reselling used books between students using computer vision technology to assess book conditions. And, Amipool: Engineered a groundbreaking AI-enabled, geo-location-based real-time carpooling platform for student and women safety. The carpooling platform connected users based on commuting routes through AI-driven proximity recommendations. Both products achieved rapid adoption, attracting over 6,000 users within 30 days of launch.
A Champion for Inclusion and Empowerment: Throughout her career, Ms. Shrivastava has been recognized for breaking barriers and paying it forward. As the first elected woman president of the ALiAS Open Source Club in college, she faced initial skepticism from peers regarding her capabilities as a woman in a male-dominated environment, but she overcame gender stereotypes to lead and inspire. Her success not only established her credibility but also inspired greater inclusion of women in technology and leadership roles. Today, she continues this mission in multiple value streams. One crucial recognition is being invited to serve on the board of Grey Space Collective, driving economic empowerment in Northwest Arkansas for art, tech and entrepreneurship. Her year over year mentoring multiple startups with the Fuel Accelerator Program including AI driven startups with healthcare and logistics themes has directly impacted exponential growth of many startups. She has also been a corporate mentor to the Girls Who Code initiative supporting women in tech, and a coding mentor at MIT Media Lab.
She has also been invited as a guest speaker for various programs like Customer Obsession, PyGotham, STEM and product experience workshops along with the upcoming AI Infra Summit. Her passion shines through as she is also an angel investor in startups inculcating a combination of art, technology and innovation.
Ms. Shrivastava believes that her academic background has been instrumental in shaping her professional achievements. Her academic foundation includes a Master of Science in human-computer interaction from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Technology in computer science and engineering from Amity University, India. Her internships include Stanford University and startups in Amity Innovation Incubator. These academic experiences provided a strong foundation in both technical skills and user-centered design principles that have informed her work across startups and major corporations.
Her accomplishments have been recognized with several awards, including the Grand Prize Winner at the University of Maryland Data Challenge, and award at Equals Equals Hackathon at Maryland, MVP Individual Award and Make a Difference Award at Walmart. Born in India, Ms. Shrivastava enjoys engaging and giving back to the community actively. As a kathak dancer, she is often found teaching kathak to young girls to help them stay rooted in their culture. She also regularly performs kathak and classical Indian songs at multiple Indian events. She teaches STEM and AI experience at Onwards Startup community. She is an avid yoga and mental health advocate. She attributes her success to hard work, perseverance, and the support of mentors, friends, and family.
