Prior to being promoted to his current position, Mr. Marquez was an engineering manager at the same firm from 2018 to 2022. During these four years, he managed multidisciplinary teams and played a pivotal role in streamlining engineering processes, enhancing productivity and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. For the preceding three years, he held the position of senior application engineer at Southwire Company. His technical proficiency and commitment to excellence were recognized with the People's Choice Award from Southwire Company in 2015.

Before relocating to the United States in 2015 — a major milestone in his personal and professional journey — Mr. Marquez worked as a senior specification engineer at Southwire Company in Mexico City from 2013 to 2015. In this role, he specialized in product specifications and compliance, ensuring that all engineering outputs met rigorous industry standards.

Mr. Marquez's earlier experience includes serving as a product manager at General Cable De México Sa De Cv in Mexico City from 2012 to 2013, where he directed product development strategies and market analysis for electrical solutions. During the previous year, he contributed as a product engineer at the same company, focusing on technical design and process optimization, after beginning his professional work as an infrastructure engineer at Citi in Mexico City from 2006 to 2011.

Throughout his career, Mr. Marquez has demonstrated a commitment to development and industry engagement through professional memberships. He is active in the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Council for Harmonization of Electrotechnical Standards of the Nations in the Americas (CANENA), and the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), organizations that have provided him with opportunities for networking and staying abreast of technological advancements.

Mr. Marquez's academic background laid the groundwork for his expertise in electrical engineering. He earned a Bachelor of Engineering in electrical engineering from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (National Polytechnic Institute) in Mexico City in 2006. His education was further enhanced by leadership training in teacher education and professional development through INROADS between 2005 and 2006, equipping him with essential skills for mentoring and team leadership.

Reflecting on his career, Mr. Marquez attributes much of his success to the guidance of excellent mentors encountered during his academic pursuits and throughout his professional career. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, hiking and contributing civically as a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Born in Mexico City, Mr. Marquez values family above all else, as a source of strength that has supported him through significant transitions, including his move from Mexico City to the U.S. in 2015.
