As the deputy director of administration at the Miami-Dade County Department of Solid Waste Management, her responsibilities encompass strategizing and overseeing the department's seven administrative divisions. Having initially begun her career as a clerk at the department while taking college classes at night, she gravitated to other government departments for 15 years, after which she circled back to solid waste management. Gradually advancing to higher roles of leadership across various divisions, she garnered acclaim for her ability to handle critical aspects of procurement and contracts, disposal operations, and administration.

Outside of her work at the Department of Solid Waste Management, Ms. Espinosa-Anderson's dedication to community outreach and education was evident during her tenure with Team Metro from 1995 to 2008. Her commitment has not only advanced her career but also made her a respected figure in the field at large. To wit, she is a member of several relevant organizations, including the Solid Waste Association of North America, the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing, the American Society For Public Administration, Leadership Miami, and Phi Theta Kappa.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Ms. Espinosa-Anderson is actively involved with the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, volunteering as her department's liaison for the yearly walk. She also supports the United Way through donations at the leadership level, as well as donates on a monthly basis to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Live Like Bella Childhood Cancer Foundation. Ms. Espinosa-Anderson has been recognized for her contributions with accolades such as the Susan B. Anthony Award from the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Ms. Espinosa-Anderson's educational background has been instrumental in her professional achievements. She earned a Master of Public Administration from Florida International University in 1994, having completed a bachelor's degree in communications at the same institution in 1991 – achieving both degrees with honor. Her academic journey began with an associate's degree in business administration and management at Miami Dade College, graduating with honors in 1987. Additionally, she holds a certification in landfill operations, material recovery facility, and transfer station operations, and she has been a Certified Professional Public Buyer since 2009.

The foundation of Ms. Espinosa-Anderson's success resides in the values instilled by her parents, whose sacrifices paved the way for her accomplishments. In addition to her vocational efforts, she finds joy in singing, reading, and writing poetry—activities that reflect her creative spirit and commitment to community engagement. Looking ahead, she envisions continuing to serve her constituents before eventually transitioning into retirement and potentially sharing her knowledge as an adjunct professor.
