From 2021 to 2023, she served as the global head of health economics and outcomes research in South San Francisco, following her tenure as head of medical affairs from 2018 to 2021. Earlier, she was the head of global health economics and outcomes research in Zug, Switzerland, from

2017 to 2018, where she expanded the company's international presence. Dr. Quock originally joined Prothena in 2016 as the director and head of global health economics and outcomes research in South San Francisco.

Before her time at Prothena, Dr. Quock advanced her expertise through positions with several leading organizations in the pharmaceutical and research sectors. She was the associate director of health economics and outcomes research at Jazz Pharmaceuticals in Palo Alto from 2014 to 2016, associate director of health technology assessment at Covance from 2013 to 2014 and senior health economist at ICON plc from 2011 to 2013. Dr. Quock's academic career includes service at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA as principal investigator from 2009 to 2012, as well as earlier faculty and research appointments between 2006 and 2010.

Earlier in her career, Dr. Quock worked as a research scientist at Outcomes Insights Inc. in Los Angeles from 2008 to 2010, contributing to studies on cost-benefit analyses, burden of illness, and patient-reported outcomes. Her professional journey began in 2005 as a consultant at Amgen in Thousand Oaks, where a mentor's discussion about influencing National Comprehensive Cancer Network guidelines inspired her commitment to making a difference through research and drug development.

Throughout her career, Dr. Quock has demonstrated exceptional dedication to advancing health care knowledge and practice. She is an active member of the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research and the American Society of Hematology, reflecting her engagement with leading professional organizations in her field.

Dr. Quock's academic background is equally distinguished. She earned a Doctor of Philosophy in health services with a focus on health care outcomes research and epidemiology from the University of California, Los Angeles, following a Master of Science in health services research at the same institution. Dr. Quock also holds a Bachelor of Science in neuroscience and biological anthropology from UCLA.

In addition to her academic degrees, Dr. Quock completed extensive postdoctoral training that broadened her expertise across multiple disciplines. This includes a certificate in entrepreneurship at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, a fellowship in demography, economics and epidemiology of aging at the RAND School of Public Policy and a fellowship in cancer control and research at the University of California, San Francisco.
