As founder and research scientist at Plasma Systems, previously known as Plasma Microsystem and originally Plasma Plus Inc., Dr. Paskalov has led the company since 1992. His work centers on inventing, developing, and scaling commercial systems for diverse industries, with a primary focus on environmental applications. In his laboratory, he is responsible for testing materials, obtaining results and parameters, and translating these findings into scalable commercial solutions. Under his guidance, Plasma Systems has addressed critical issues, including hazardous waste management, carbon and gas emissions reduction, and medical waste treatment.

In addition to his role at Plasma Systems, Dr. Paskalov is also co-owner of Global Enviro in Singapore, Torrent Energy in Virginia, and Omstar Environmental Products. Through these ventures, he collaborates with international partners to advance projects in agriculture and waste-to-energy conversion. Notably, approximately eight years ago, he developed commercial systems for Japan and is currently engaged in new projects for Singapore and Switzerland. His involvement with the International Plasma Research Institute in Switzerland further underscores his global impact.

Dr. Paskalov's expertise is recognized through his membership in the United States patent community. Throughout his career, he has secured 20 patents for innovations spanning water treatment and disinfection, seed treatment for agriculture, and ore processing in the mining industry. These accomplishments reflect his commitment to practical solutions that address pressing environmental challenges.

Before founding his companies, Dr. Paskalov spent ten years as a research scientist at the University of California, Los Angeles. During this period, he worked closely with Professor Alfred Wong, a renowned physicist specializing in plasma physics. Dr. Paskalov regards his tenure at the University of California, Los Angeles Physics Department as a formative experience that enriched his scientific knowledge and language skills while allowing him to collaborate with leading experts in the field.

Dr. Paskalov's academic foundation includes a Doctor of Philosophy in plasma physics from the Polytechnical Institute in Leningrad, Russia, earned in 1989. He also holds a master's degree in electrical engineering from the same institution, completed in 1981. This rigorous education provided the technical expertise that underpins his innovative work in plasma technology.

Throughout his career, Dr. Paskalov has made significant contributions to the scientific community as a speaker and presenter at major conferences. For forty years, he has participated in the International Plasma Chemistry Symposium, delivering presentations on topics such as "Plasma from Research and Development to Commercial," and sharing insights from both academic research and industrial applications.

Fluent in Bulgarian, Russian, French and English, Dr. Paskalov's multilingual abilities have facilitated international collaboration throughout his professional journey.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Dr. Paskalov enjoys playing tennis three times a week, biking and making wine. He is supported by his spouse, Svetlana Paskalov, and their child, Julia. Looking ahead, Dr. Paskalov remains dedicated to advancing hydrogen projects within agriculture and developing graphene for industrial applications using methane and natural gas.
