One of his most notable achievements is his involvement in wastewater testing for communicable diseases, a project initiated with the New Jersey Department of Health. This initiative tested campus wastewater for COVID-19, influenza and other communicable diseases, contributing valuable data to national health records.
Mr. Manjikian's professional journey is complemented by his extensive academic background. He earned a master's degree in chemistry, with distinction, from Seton Hall University in 2011 and a bachelor's degree in chemistry, cum laude, from the same institution in 2009. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in health science at Seton Hall University and continues to expand his knowledge and expertise. His certifications include a higher education teaching certificate from Harvard University and diversity and inclusion certificates from Cornell University, among others.
Mr. Manjikian has received various recognitions related to education. His awards include the National Society of Leadership and Success Impact Leader Award from both Hudson County Community College and Saint Peter's University. In 2025, Mr. Manjikian was awarded the Excellence Award by the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD), and his student also won the NISOD Student Essay Contest for writing about mentorship experiences with Mr. Manjikian. Additional honors include the League for Innovation in the Community College Excellence Award and the Hudson County Community College DEI Impact Faculty Leadership Award.
