MIAMI, FL, September 24, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Ashley Pierre, PhD, BCBA, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Dr. Pierre was born in Haiti in 1972, the eldest of three living siblings. Despite growing up in a country he describes as the least developed in the Americas, he demonstrated resilience and intellectual curiosity from an early age. Deprived of books and internet access, he devoted himself to studying and questioning the world around him. Inspired by his parents' encouragement to pursue education under challenging circumstances, he marked his formative years with perseverance and a drive to excel.
Dr. Pierre's diverse and international academic journey began with his pursuit of higher education abroad. At 19, he sought scholarships in Canada and France and was accepted to Sherbrooke University in Quebec in 1993. However, political instability in Haiti prevented him from attending, leading him to enroll in a local engineering school. A year later, he studied Spanish in the Dominican Republic before returning to Haiti in 1995, where he co-founded his first company, Générale Identité, with two friends.
In 1996, Dr. Pierre earned a government scholarship to study in Cuba at the Instituto Superior de Cultura Física in Habana. He completed a bachelor's degree in 2001 with honors and a doctorate in physical education, on curriculum and instruction in 2004. His educational achievements significantly enhanced his expertise in visionary leadership, applied behavior analysis, curriculum design and outcome evaluation. Dedicated to the ideals of lifelong learning, he successfully became a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board in 2018.
Dr. Pierre's career is distinguished by his commitment to education and service. After returning to Haiti from Cuba, he encountered systemic challenges that motivated him to seek new opportunities abroad. In 2006, he immigrated to the United States with his family. While acclimating to his new environment, he taught at Deerfield Beach High School for five years and supported his wife — then a psychologist — as she completed coursework to become a behavioral analyst.
Early in 2015, Dr. Pierre and his wife established Behavior Analysis Resources and Education Inc., where he assumed the role of president and chief executive officer. Initially focused on research and management while his wife provided direct care services to patients, he later pursued additional coursework at a university in Spain to deepen his knowledge of applied behavior analysis. After passing the board exam in 2018, he became more involved in business management and direct service provision.
Under Dr. Pierre's leadership, Behavior Analysis Resources and Education has grown from a single-employee operation to a community cornerstone employing approximately 70 staff members and serving hundreds of clients throughout Florida. In his role, he manages operations while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, initiates programs for employee retention and trains individuals as paraprofessionals in applied behavior analysis. Committed to helping his employees reach their goals and fostering a positive work environment, he also provides coursework supervision for candidates pursuing board certification.
From teaching at the school level to serving individuals with developmental disabilities as an immigrant from Haiti and as a Black individual, Dr. Pierre is recognized for his positive impact on the lives of students, patients and families. He is particularly proud of establishing a company valued at approximately $10 million that not only delivers essential services but also provides meaningful employment opportunities.
A member of the Florida Association for Behavior Analysis, Dr. Pierre is dedicated to promoting scientific thinking skills among those from lower economic backgrounds who may not have previously been exposed to such approaches. He emphasizes high-level reasoning as essential for addressing life's challenges and improving decision-making processes. He continues to teach candidates who seek to obtain the Board certification in Applied Behavior Analysis as Registered Behavior Technicians and to prepare those seeking higher certification levels to pass their board exams.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Pierre is deeply engaged in community service initiatives to transform Haiti's future. He is the co-founder, president and leader of Hayti de Demain-Hayti 2050 (Hayti of Tomorrow), a socio-political movement and organizations committed to fostering social, educational and economic progress in his homeland. Additionally, he has served as the co-founder and vice president of The World For Hayti Foundation since 2023 in order to fundraise for the Hayti de Demain's movement securely. He also volunteers as a mentor, assisting individuals with scientific thinking development.
Also an accomplished writer, Dr. Pierre maintains an active presence as an author through his blog www.ashleypierrehuman.com, where he publishes his insights on diverse topics related to human development and societal issues. He has also contributed as a Keynote and guest speaker at events held in Florida and elsewhere that focus on matters about Haiti, education, awareness on developmental disability such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, etc.
Reflecting on his storied journey thus far, Dr. Pierre attributes much of his success to his wife's unwavering love and support of more than 25 years — a partnership that has been integral throughout their academic pursuits, entrepreneurial ventures and ongoing mission-driven work. They happily share their home with their two super and awesome daughters, their two pets, Toby and Musi, and advocate for dignity and access to basic necessities for all people regardless of their circumstances or ability to express their needs.
Looking ahead, Dr. Pierre remains steadfastly committed to improving conditions in Haiti through sociopolitical leadership with the movement of Hayti of Tomorrow - Hayti 2050 while continuing to enhance educational opportunities and quality of life for underserved populations worldwide. His past achievements and future goals alike reflect his longstanding passion for making a positive impact on others through everything he does.
