SANTA ANA, CA, September 26, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Donald Lee Rogers has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Rogers has established a distinguished career spanning five decades, marked by significant achievements in both the technology and creative writing sectors. Since 2020, he has served as a freelance screenwriter and author, dedicating his efforts to writing screenplays and developing original works. His commitment to storytelling is evident in several completed screenplays, which follow the life of Barbacas Johnson in "Barbacas Lives Here" and "The Great Sea Monster Hunt Club," which await publication. This creative pursuit reflects his enduring passion for literature and film. He has also performed on College stages in "The Merchant of Venice" and "Arsenic and Old Lace."

Concurrently, since 2003, Mr. Rogers has held the role of senior technical consultant and data engineer with the Automobile Club of Southern California. Throughout his tenure, he has contributed to critical projects, most notably playing a pivotal role in resolving the Y2K crisis. His expertise in mainframe systems and technical programming has been instrumental in maintaining operational continuity for the organization. He has returned to the Automobile Club of Southern California on four separate occasions; his latest employment has amassed over a consistent 22-year tenure that underscores his value to the institution.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Rogers advanced rapidly through various positions in the information technology field. He began as a IBM Mainframe computer operator before progressing to programmer trainee, full programmer, and ultimately senior programmer specializing in mainframe systems. His leadership abilities led him to a managerial position at Tokai Bank of California; however, he later chose to return to hands-on technical work, preferring direct engagement with technology over administrative responsibilities.

Mr. Rogers has been an active member of the Pacific Crest Trail Association, reflecting his commitment to both professional development and community service. His lifelong support for the Pacific Crest Trail is rooted in his family legacy; his father, Warren Lee Rogers, was recognized as one of the co-founders of the trail from his trailblazing work in 1935 through 1938, with the YMCA PCT Relays and for over sixty years until his death.

Throughout his life, Mr. Rogers contributed to the trail's development by assembling magazines and assisting his father's vision, even while balancing family and career obligations. Approaching retirement, he has reconnected with trail organizations and donated extensive historical documents to the Huntington Research Library in Alhambra, significantly expanding their archive.

Mr. Rogers' educational background includes an Associate of Arts degree from Santa Ana College, along with Computer science studies at the University of California, Irvine, and Bakersfield, as well as aerospace engineering studies at Northrop Institute of Technology, and separate accounting and auditing studies. These academic achievements provided a strong foundation for his technical expertise and adaptability across multiple industries.

Later in his life, Mr. Rogers credits part of his success to his role as an ordained Christian minister. Through this calling, he has actively supported churches and charitable organizations by providing fundraising efforts and engaging in outreach activities that benefit communities and countries in need.

Civic engagement remains central to Mr. Rogers' life. His connection with Second Timothy Four Five Ministries, where he focuses on feeding children, spreading the word of Christ, and providing support for medical treatment for individuals of all ages. His work on the Santa Ana City Historic Resources Committee as a sitting commissioner, as well as his lifelong connection with the PCT Association, further demonstrates his dedication to service. While setting up his own charity in California, Faith of the Centurion, eluded him, he continues to have an impact where he can.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Rogers is very proud of his loving parents, Mary and Warren—a value that has shaped both his personal ethos and public contributions. He is dedicated to Christ, his family life, and enjoys spending time with his wife of 54 years, Nancy, three children, and two grandchildren. Looking ahead, he intends to conclude his programming career, continue to share love of Christ, achieve publication for his written works, and continue advancing the legacy established by his father through ongoing support for the Pacific Crest Trail and related organizations.
