This early experience instilled a deep appreciation for the craft, which continued as he advanced to working with large earthmover tires at the age of 20. His passion for the industry has remained steadfast throughout his career.
In 2024, Mr. Griffiths assumed the role of western U.S. sales manager at Stellar, where he supports independent tire dealers and mega dealers across the region. His responsibilities include forecasting and budgeting for service trucks, often involving significant equipment investments such as $600,000 mobile cranes, providing technical support to field workers on equipment troubleshooting and tire changing procedures and managing administrative operations. He is also committed to selecting optimal equipment for his team, ensuring safety and efficiency in all aspects of service delivery.
Before joining Stellar, Mr. Griffiths served as off-the-road region sales manager for The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company from 2018 to 2024. During this tenure, he earned recognition as Off-Highway Salesperson of the Year in 2021. He was named Goodyear's Salesman of the Year in his second year with the company, a distinction he considers a significant achievement. In this capacity, he managed regional sales strategies and provided technical guidance on tire selection, speed ratings and rubber compounds for heavy-duty applications.
From 2016 to 2018, Mr. Griffiths held the position of Utah zone OTR sales manager at Commercial Tire, where he oversaw off-the-road tire sales and services throughout the state. His earlier experience includes a decade as fleet tire manager at Staker Parson Companies from 2006 to 2016, where he managed large-scale fleet operations and implemented best practices for tire maintenance and safety.
Mr. Griffiths began his professional journey in off-the-road sales and services at Commercial Tire from 2001 to 2006. These formative years allowed him to develop hands-on expertise in tire installation, customer service and technical problem-solving, skills that have underpinned his subsequent leadership roles.
A certified earthmover OTR trainer through the Tire Industry Association, Mr. Griffiths is dedicated to advancing industry standards through education and mentorship. He takes pride in teaching others about tire safety and proper wheel inspection techniques. In recognition of his expertise, he was invited to speak at ConExpo in 2023 and has since received additional invitations to present on topics related to tire safety, wheel inspections and best practices within the earth mover sector.
Mr. Griffiths holds a high school diploma, which has served as the foundation for his career in an industry where most professionals share similar educational backgrounds. He emphasizes that success in this field is built on practical experience, hands-on learning and a commitment to continuous improvement rather than formal academic credentials.
Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Griffiths is civically engaged as a volunteer coach for high school mountain biking teams. He is also an avid rock climber, jujitsu practitioner and enjoys paid cowboy work on weekends as well as skiing and whitewater rafting.
Family plays a vital role in Mr. Griffiths's life. His wife serves as a purchasing agent managing a $10 million annual tire program for her company, a role she developed expertise in through their partnership. Their daughter is deeply familiar with his work, sharing his enthusiasm for the industry and maintaining close connections with customers and colleagues.
