She is particularly proud of building her business independently, transforming challenges into opportunities for growth and fostering a workplace culture defined by care, compassion and teamwork.

From 2014 to 2020, Ms. Bass founded and owned The Hospitality Liaison, where she honed her expertise in guest relations and operational efficiency. Her experience in hospitality began during her years in New York City from 1997 to 2015. She held sales positions at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company in Times Square — where she earned a sales plaque for highest volume in group sales in 2005 — and at the Grand Hyatt New York. She also served as an operations manager for nearly five years, coordinating inbound travel and developing a robust skill set in sales and customer service. Additionally she was a sales manager in memberships at the Tourism Bureau of New York City.

In 2015, after visiting St. Croix on vacation, Ms. Bass decided to relocate permanently to the U.S. Virgin Islands. She initially held a temporary real estate license before identifying a need for structured property management services on the island. By leveraging her New England upbringing and New York City work ethic, she introduced organizational transparency and maintenance protocols that have become hallmarks of her business.

Educationally, Ms. Bass's background includes a Bachelor of Science in retail marketing management and fashion merchandising from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island, graduating in 1997. She also completed coursework focused on couture and prêt-à-porter at the Paris Fashion Institute in France in 1996, earning a certificate that same year. Furthering her expertise, she is a member of Siretti, and the Vacation Rental Management Association.

Overall, Ms. Bass attributes her success to honesty, enduring friendships, faith and a deep love for animals. Raised by a single parent who left the convent to start a family, she grew up in New Hampshire in a small town with humble beginnings that shaped her values of hard work and resilience. Her journey into property management began with a desire to create stability after her divorce, when she prioritized maintaining a home and providing for herself through determination and resourcefulness.

Civically engaged throughout her life, Ms. Bass has volunteered with New York Cares since 2008 and contributed to Meals on Wheels and New York Riding Therapy. She has also volunteered at nursing homes in both New York and New Hampshire. She is currently on the board of the St. Croix Animal Welfare Center.

Throughout her career, Ms. Bass's achievements have been recognized with several awards, including the Helping Hand Award from Johnson & Wales University and the Great Teamwork Award from Guess Inc. in 1997. At age 21, while a junior in college, she participated in the Miss New Hampshire USA Pageant, where she received the Miss Congeniality award, an honor voted on by fellow contestants recognizing her character. Today, she is also an active speaker, having presented on four podcasts and at three conferences.

In her personal life, Ms. Bass enjoys gardening, baking, cooking, reading and exploring new restaurants as a self-described foodie. She values healthy outlets such as spending time with friends and caring for animals, including certifying her dog as a service animal through American Airlines.
