In this capacity, she leverages her deep expertise in trust administration, probate administration, and medical and financial power of attorney. Notably, Ms. Welling ensures continuity for clients by confirming that beneficiaries remain informed and that all behind-the-scenes activities are transparent.

Before progressing to her current position, Ms. Welling excelled as a fiduciary with Foster Thornton LLC from 2016, the year she obtained her license. While capably managing her own clients and building her practice, she continued to assist Nancy Thornton as an executive assistant until 2018. Thornton's positive mentorship shaped her understanding of fiduciary responsibilities and client management. Ms. Welling initially joined the company in 2012 as an administrative assistant, a foundational role that provided her with valuable experience in office administration and client service.

Before entering the fiduciary field, Ms. Welling worked in the food service industry. At age 22, seeking a transition into a corporate environment with aspirations of becoming an attorney, she accepted an opportunity to work with Thornton, who was seeking to hire an assistant. Ms. Welling quickly recognized her passion for the industry and found fulfillment in supporting individuals during challenging times, relying on her personal drive and strong support system to advance her career.

Ms. Welling's academic accomplishments include an Associate of Science in business administration from Grossmont College in 2011 and a Bachelor of Arts in public administration from San Diego State University, where she was named to the Dean's List before graduating in 2014. Additionally, she holds a range of industry credentials: in 2016, she was licensed by the Professional Fiduciaries Bureau as a California licensed professional fiduciary, and in 2017, she was granted certification as a notary public through the National Notary Association. Ms. Welling also completed coursework in professional fiduciary management for conservators and trustees at California State University, Fullerton in 2015.

Ms. Welling is actively involved in industry organizations and has been a member of Probate Attorneys of San Diego since 2025. She has also been affiliated with the Rady Children's Hospital Foundation's Estates and Trusts Council since 2017. Additionally, her commitment to community service is evident through her volunteer work with South Bay Community Services from 2018 to 2019 and her role as fundraising chair for the Parent Teacher Association within her local school district. Among her many achievements, Ms. Welling is particularly proud of being named one of San Diego Business Journal's 40 Next Top Business Leaders Under 40 for 2024, a distinction awarded after a competitive nomination process involving over 150 finalists.
