INDIAN HILLS, CO, October 06, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jasen E. Petersen has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Petersen has established a distinguished career marked by innovation, leadership, and a commitment to advancing medical technology. Since 2022, he has served as chief executive officer of Ionic Alliance Group, Inc., guiding the development and global expansion of ion biotechnology, a new class of microimmune nutrient matrix medical technology. Under his leadership, the company developed and now manufactures Ion Biotechnology Aqueous Ligands (IBAL), the platform that underlies this approach. Its first approved medical application, Ion Gel ZCM-25®, an infection control and wound-healing product, was co-developed with a sister company in Mexico and has been approved in both Mexico and the United Arab Emirates. Mr. Petersen's early expertise in medical devices, particularly in laser lithotripsy, led him to explore not only how technologies functioned but why tissues responded as they did. That inquiry became the foundation for his later innovations in systems biology and ion biotechnology.
In addition to his role at Ionic Alliance Group, Mr. Petersen co-founded the Ionic Alliance Foundation in 2019, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing research, education, and humanitarian access in terrain-based health. Through this foundation, he has championed the study and application of microimmune dynamics, a unifying systems model he created that builds on Dr. Robert Naviaux's Cell Danger Response. While the CDR describes cellular behavior under stress, MID examines the broader terrain conditions that determine whether healing cycles progress or stall. By identifying the local inputs required for progression, such as micronutrient and cofactor sufficiency, MID reframes disease as incomplete healing rather than irreversible damage and shows how restoring those inputs can restart the healing cycle. This systems perspective provides the foundation for new medical technologies that restore communication and reintegration at the cellular level, with potential impact spanning infection control, wound healing, oncology, neurodegeneration, and beyond.
Since 2013, Mr. Petersen has served as vice president of engineering at Jayco Enterprises, a medical device company he founded, where he has overseen research and development, manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain operations. From 2010 to 2013, he worked with Cook Medical, a global medical device company, as a consultant and technology manager, where he was tasked with developing a new capital equipment system and its associated disposable product line.
From 1997 to 2009, Mr. Petersen served as director of engineering and manufacturing at Convergent Laser Technologies, where he led the design and production of advanced medical laser systems, including innovations that helped redefine the field of laser lithotripsy. His early career included engineering positions at Lockheed Missiles and Space Company (now Lockheed Martin Corporation) from 1996 to 1997 and at Moller International from 1995 to 1996, while completing his engineering degree.
Mr. Petersen earned a Bachelor of Science in aeronautical and mechanical engineering from the University of California, Davis, in 1996, a degree that provided a dual focus, broadening his foundation for technical expertise and problem-solving in medical technology. He later completed MIT xPRO's program in Drug and Medical Device Development: A Strategic Approach from 2019 to 2020, further strengthening his qualifications in the regulatory and translational aspects of healthcare innovation.
Drawing on his pioneering work in laser lithotripsy and medical device engineering, Mr. Petersen ultimately shifted his focus to the science of salutogenesis and terrain health. Motivated in part by the loss of both parents to cancer, he applied his expertise to developing ion biotechnology and the microimmune dynamics framework, expanding his career from advancing medical devices to advancing the science of healing.
His civic engagement is equally notable. Since 2016, Mr. Petersen has served as president of the board of directors at Eudaimonia HFC, a nonprofit ministry he founded to advance wellness, resilience, and community through a salutogenic approach to human flourishing. In the summer of 2020, under his leadership, the organization hosted approximately 100 children at its facility, providing much-needed connection and joy at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Parents expressed profound gratitude for these efforts, underscoring the positive impact on their families.
Mr. Petersen is also deeply involved in volleyball, both as a player and as a coach, and has fostered a close-knit community of athletes through Eudaimonia, whom he regards as family. His contributions extend to scientific literature as well; he co-authored 'Effect of Holmium:YAG Laser Pulse Width on Lithotripsy Retropulsion In Vitro,' published in the Journal of Endourology in 2005. This study introduced the concept of 'dusting' kidney stones rather than fragmenting them, an approach that reshaped the laser lithotripsy industry and defined the design of modern lithotripters.
Throughout his career, Mr. Petersen has attributed his success to an innate curiosity and a healthy skepticism of conventional assumptions. These qualities have consistently led him to ask why systems behave as they do and to reimagine entrenched models, pioneering breakthrough solutions in both technology and health.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Mr. Petersen shares his life with his spouse and their three children. Having spent his own early childhood traveling and living in Europe and the Middle East, he now values providing his children with similar experiences that broaden perspective and foster resilience. Looking ahead, he is committed to ensuring that Ion Gel ZCM-25® gains global recognition as a safe and effective solution for wound healing, while advancing ion biotechnology and microimmune dynamics as cornerstones of the next era of salutogenic medicine.
