Ms. Joseph has established a distinguished career in law, currently serving as an attorney at Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP since 2023. In this capacity, she is responsible for attending court hearings, defending depositions, conducting discovery and reviewing which individuals require deposition. Her expertise in medical malpractice defense has positioned her as a leading figure within the firm, where her exceptional analytical and writing skills are widely recognized. Prior to her current role, Ms. Joseph was an associate attorney at Hughes Socol Piers Resnick & Dym Ltd. from 2022 to 2023. During this period, she further honed her litigation skills and contributed to significant casework in diverse legal domains. From 2021 to 2022, she served as an associate attorney at Fletcher & Sippel LLC, where she gained valuable experience in civil litigation and client advocacy.

Ms. Joseph's experience also includes serving as a judicial law clerk for the United States District Courts from 2020 to 2021. For the preceding year, she contributed in a similar role in the Law Division, Tax and Miscellaneous Remedies section of the Circuit Court of Cook County, where she assisted with complex tax and civil matters.

From 2017 to 2019, Ms. Joseph operated as a solo practitioner at Joseph Law Office, providing legal counsel and representation to clients in various practice areas. Her early legal career included positions as a law clerk at Asher Gittler & D'Alba Ltd., a judicial extern for the United States District Courts and a law clerk at a personal injury law firm.

Before entering the legal profession as an attorney, Ms. Joseph spent a decade refining her skills as a paralegal, particularly at the Law Offices of Laurie J. Wasserman from 2011 to 2014. This foundational experience was instrumental in developing her proficiency in legal research and case management, which later contributed to her rapid advancement as a young attorney. Furthering her expertise, she has maintained membership in the Chicagoland Healthcare Risk Management Society, the Northwestern University Leadership Circle, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association and the Cook County Bar Association.

Educationally, Ms. Joseph's background includes earning a Juris Doctor from the College of Law at DePaul University in Chicago in 2017 and a Bachelor of Science in organizational leadership from Northwestern University in Evanston in 2014. Additionally, she received a 711 temporary law license from the Supreme Court of Illinois in 2017, became a notary public through the Illinois Office of the Secretary of State in 2008 and achieved professional research certification from LexisNexis.

Throughout her education and early career, Ms. Joseph benefited greatly from mentorship by accomplished jurists and colleagues who recognized her potential and invested in her growth. She attributes much of her success to these mentors who provided guidance during her years as a paralegal and throughout law school.

Ms. Joseph's civic engagement is extensive. She has served as an advisor on the advisory council for Harvard Business Review since 2016 and mentored students at DePaul University College of Law from 2020 to 2024. Additionally, she contributed as an investigator for the Judicial Evaluation Committee with the Alliance of Bar Associations from 2021 to 2023. Her earlier roles include serving as a law student representative for the Illinois State Bar Association, mentoring at Legal Prep Charter Academy and acting as vice chair editor for the YLS Journal with the Chicago Bar Association.

In all her work, Ms. Joseph's achievements have been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Rising Star in Illinois by Super Lawyers, Top 40 Under 40 by The National Black Lawyers Top 100 and winner of the Law Student Writing Competition by The National Law Review in 2016. She was also named a scholarship recipient by the IJC Foundation in 2016.

In her free time, Ms. Joseph enjoys attending operas and live arts performances. In the upcoming years, she plans to pursue opportunities that will allow her to serve on the bench as a judge, building upon her extensive experience and dedication to justice within the legal field.
