Earlier, Dr. Joseph worked at HCA Healthcare in San Jose, California, as the director of adult services from 2013 to 2017.

Among her earlier positions, Dr. Joseph excelled as a quality improvement advisor at Adventist Health in Bakersfield, California. Between 2010 and 2013, she played a pivotal role in developing and executing quality assurance programs that improved patient outcomes and compliance with regulatory standards. Dr. Joseph also held titles such as critical care registered charge nurse at Dignity Health in Bakersfield, California, from 2007 to 2012, providing direct patient care in high-acuity settings. She began her career in 2005 as a teaching faculty member at the Institute of Health Sciences in Ruwi, Muscat, Oman, where she spent two years educating future health care professionals.

To support her career, Dr. Joseph became highly educated, earning a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in nursing from Christian Medical College and Hospital, CMCH Vellore, in 1993 and 2000, respectively. She also completed a Doctor of Health Administration from the University of Phoenix in 2016. These academic achievements have provided a strong foundation for her leadership roles and have significantly contributed to her success in advancing health care quality and operational performance. In addition to her degrees, Dr. Joseph has obtained a certification in executive health care leadership from Cornell University and is recognized as a certified nurse manager and leader by the American Organization of Nurse Executives.
