In 2025, Mr. Furru assumed the position of Senior Manager of Operations for design-build and light construction branch at Pieper Electric Inc. In this capacity, he manages financials, job performance and departmental outcomes while overseeing manpower and resources to ensure project completion. He is also responsible for training, developing, and mentoring Assistant Project Managers and Project Manager Trainees, conducting regularly scheduled, small-group grassroots classes to educate young professionals within his organization. Mr. Furru's passion for developing talent is evident in his approach to leadership, as he takes great pride in witnessing the growth and success of those he has trained — an aspect of his career he considers to be the most rewarding.

Prior to being promoted to this role, from 2022 to 2024, Mr. Furru served as Department Manager for design-build and light construction, where he was instrumental in supervising teams and ensuring operational excellence across multiple projects. His tenure as project manager at Pieper Electric Inc. from 2017 to 2022 also allowed him to further hone his skills in project oversight, resource allocation and client relations.

Before joining Pieper Electric Inc., Mr. Furru worked at Hurt Electric Inc. From 2015 to 2017, he held the position of project manager, managing complex assignments and leading teams through successful project completions. Between 2010 and 2015, he advanced from journeyman electrician to foreman at the firm, demonstrating technical expertise and leadership on job sites. His foundational experience was as an electrical apprentice with the same company from 2005 to 2010, and with Spring City Electric from 2004-2005.

Mr. Furru's professional affiliations include membership in the National Electrical Contractors Association and former membership with Local Union 494. He also serves as an instructor and curriculum developer for his organization's Project Management Academy and new employee on-boarding training, sharing his knowledge with aspiring professionals and trade workers alike. As a testament to his expertise and commitment to the industry, he was selected as a speaker on the subject of Project Manager Training for the 2025 Federated Electrical Contractors Convention in Las Vegas. Nate is also on several strategic initiative and operational excellence committees.

In addition to his corporate leadership, Mr. Furru has founded You Incorporated, a professional development venture dedicated to advancing project management excellence where he will collaborate with a diverse group of high performing mentors to train individuals in deeper project management skills for complex developments, difficult situations, leadership, and negotiation skills. He is also developing a video-based project management curriculum designed to share his insights with a broader audience.

Mr. Furru's educational background includes college coursework that provided a strong foundation for his technical and managerial roles. He also holds a journeyman electrician certificate, which has been integral to his advancement within the electrical field.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Furru is civically engaged as a volunteer with Ronald McDonald House Charities, Building Advantage, and Junior Achievement. Outside of work, he enjoys building furniture and cabinetry, undertaking various home projects, hiking, traveling, fitness, going to the beach and spending time outdoors. He is also an avid reader and prioritizes spending time with his family.
