Ms. Jacob's early interest in music began with piano lessons she started at age 10, which set the stage for her future pursuits. By sixteen, she was already serving as a church organist and regularly accompanying performances during high school. Throughout her college years, she continued to play for church services and taught high school music classes part-time, experiences that further solidified her dedication to music education.

Throughout her career, Ms. Jacob has been recognized for her active involvement in professional organizations. She is a member of the American Guild of Organists and Mu Phi Epsilon and is a founding and life member of the Historical Keyboard Society of North America. She further dedicates her time to civic activities, particularly working with Carolina Pro Musica.
