Before this, he completed a bachelor's degree in Spanish literature at the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1999. His undergraduate studies included pre-med coursework, during which he shadowed various medical professionals. It was during this time that he discovered his passion for chiropractic care. Dr. Hilario credits his strong religious beliefs and commitment to faith as guiding influences throughout his academic and professional journey.

He is actively involved with Gracepoint Gospel Fellowship in New City, where he contributes to community initiatives aligned with his values of service and compassion. Born in Nyack, Dr. Hilario spent eight formative years living in the Dominican Republic, where he witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by children growing up in poverty.
